Like if we take the innitiative to flirt and ask them out, would they be jerks about it if they don't like you? as in saying, if you were friends before you asked them out, then they stop being your friend and act mean to you or ignore you? i know im not like that at all, i treat friends who i reject normally as if it never happened.

I can't speak for all guys, but any woman who had the courage to ask me out would be guaranteed at least that first date! (As long a I was not already in an exclusive relationship with someone) The only exception would be if she were so hideously ugly that I would be embarassed to be seen with her (fortunately, there are relatively few women that meet this condition). If I did have to reject someone, I would probably tell a "white lie" and say I'm already seeing somebody. I wish more women would ask out guys they like! Lots of guys are shy, but would make a nice boyfriend, if you meet them. Also a lot of guys are not very observant that a girl is interested in them and miss out on a good opportunity, How different it would be if she walked up to the guy and said; "by the way, you have a date tonight; I'll pick you up at seven".

wouldn't be a jerk like that i hope no one else would because why would you be a jerk to your friend just because she asked you out doesn't mean your friends anymore they should just move on and stay friends act like nothing happened just dont bring it up

Speaking for myself... If a girl asks me out, I'll never be a jerk to her. Anyone who likes me that much is worth being nice to, even if I don't want to date her.

If it's your friend from school, then no. Guys will usually continue to be your friend if they say no.
But if it's a total stranger on the street or at the mall, then they'll just laugh at you.

sometimes they do, if they are shy or confused, because they don't might think you're teasing them or dont know how to respond. they might also spread around the community that you "LIKE" them and boast and stuff, so basically it depends on the guy, if he likes you, he'll respond positively, that might also happen in case of a really nice, polite guy.

it depends on what guy.
there are guys in my grade that would say "EWW" if they didnt like the girl that asked them out, which i think is rude. but it depends on the guys attitude.
