I have provided an example in the link above to a question that was just asked by a christian. you guys criticize us for being intolerant, impatient, unknowledgeable, unworthy, unintelligent, and list of other unsavory adjectives. however, when YOU see fit, you jump on the dozens bandwagon too.
How much restraint do you really have? hey, I come here everyday to mess with you guys, I don't deny that. However, I also don't hold myself in high esteem over other people either.
I would like for christians to admit that you really enjoy doing what you call the wrong thing (playing the dozens and insulting atheists).
The million dollar question is: where are all of the christians who know this is wrong? why are you not telling people like this they are wrong. Is it because you secretly feel good when they do it?

Dear Oh Me, unhappy little vegemite, aren't we.
The golden rule is what you will be wanting, sweetie, "Do to others as you want them to do to you."
So all I can answer you for this is; have you been playing nice lately or have you too been a little sick & twisted (like now for instance)?
If the answer to that is no, then you sit and cop it on the chin,
If the answer is yes, then you have the right to complain about the injustice. Remember, people are entitled to individual opinions, and just because they feel a sense of belonging in “Christianity” don’t feel it is your right to remove it. Majority of Christians (or other religions) want to share a peace and Joy, which you might not have experienced (sort of like comparing a driving a car to riding a motorcycle chalk and cheese.)
Try to be a little bit more tolerant yourself, because the question was legitimate (where yours is more a retaliation)

While I personally would not consider the question to which you're referring a "mocking" question, I do hope the person who posted it didn't hurt your feelings too much?
If you come here every day to "mess with" us, how is that not holding yourself in higher esteem?
I have yet to post a single inflammatory question regarding atheists. Yet, I have responded to dozens and dozens and dozens of inflammatory questions from atheists. Guess what? All you people's "messing with us" gets pretty old. What are you guys doing here anyway? Did you all not see the heading? This section is "Religion and Spirituality." What are you doing here if you're neither religious nor spiritual? I don't go wandering around the Men's Health section putting my two cents in because I'M NOT A MAN.
You'd be AMAZED at the restraint I have had to use when responding to one assinine question after another. If you want a list of unsavory adjectives, look no further than the thousands of posts by your fellow atheists. I've been called unintelligent, gullible, stupid, disgraceful, etc, etc. by people who I am sure had nothing on me in terms of intellect, simply for believing in something bigger than myself.
I don't like insulting people, but I must admit I get a good chuckle when someone sends a zinger an atheist's way from time to time. It makes me sad when people really represent the faith poorly, and I can not abide the name calling and such. We don't have an excuse to be hateful. But I've seen a whole lot more hurtful comments coming from you guys' direction than the one you've shown here.

And you say all of this as if atheists don't do the same thing to Christians on a regular basis around this forum! Neither group has the high moral ground when it comes to how they treat the other side of the faith issue, as far as I can tell from observation and experience.
You also admit that you come here every day to "mess with" us Christians, and then you wonder why we might be a little annoyed at being harassed, called names, and otherwise treated like we have no intelligence or education. Funniest darned thing. . .we *do* have the right to defend ourselves and our beliefs, as long as we do so within the parameters of Christian behavior.
The only thing that I will admit is that I don't suffer a fool gladly -- never have, never will. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the debate. But at the very least, do us all a favor and quit whining when you get back the same kind of hand you played. . .in spades.

Imported, I agree that Christians should not bash and insult people. But you have to understand also that not all Christians are on the same level. The levels can range from someone who is a babe, child, or even mature. Or, you can be dealing with "religious" people. People who claim to be saved, but do not know God. Not everyone who claims to be a Christian is a Christian. Some people just have a title. Your questions don't faze me at all or offend me. Neither do other people who come to this site to belittle Christians. I say God bless and have a great night. take care and don't take everything personally. Judge the tree by it's fruit. Okay take care. Patrick.

Where does it say I can't defend my faith from a mindless tool who believes in a theory that has never been proved. You are just going to pick an answer that mocks Christians because you are a intolerant person, the very thing you accuse Christians of. So who cares what you think. I am sure all your little atheist friends will come to your rescue and make some comment that you will pick as best answer to proof your obvious hatred of someone who disagrees with your opinion. So in the end who cares if we hurt your feelings, Christians are not ashamed of their faith.

Christians do very little proselytizing and in the many hours on R&S I have never seen Christians " play " any atheists. That is Strictly atheists tactics. What exactly is playing the dozens? That wasn't mocking , it was just calling an ace an ace.

I applogize for any unkind remarks and dozens or what ever that is. I have found that true Christians love as Christ loves and gave himself for us all.
And if it had not been but for the love of Jesus I would be lost in my own terrible sins.
I don't ever want to be found insulting any one. As the real love of Christ doesn't do that. The Bible says that you will know we are christians by our love.
Point blank and that's it.
It is wrong and feeling good to tell people off and call names is not like Christ.
Sorry folks it isn't Christ to dog other people out.
I am here to bust it wide open it is not like Christ to do any thing other than love.
I can dissagree in love and not offend. Sometimes christians who have not studied the ways of Christ misguide others because they are not taking heart to Christs wisdom and tenderness towards man kind.
Any body who feels good at seeing people be told off for thrill they get for themselves. Doesn't understand that "He that wins people to Christ is wise."
Love Draws, it is ovious there are some immature christians who have yet to grow into the faith.
My true and sincere heartfelt wishes are that we love and watch God give others the real meaning of Christianity and who knows. Even if you don't beleive the last thing any one needs in their lives are people who can't embrace others as people who were created by the same God we serve.
And his goal is that none should perish not just eternally but with the present presence of our presence in their lives due to lack of love.
God help us Christians.

When I see a question I think is wrong I tell them
All things should be done in love and for the right reason
Like I think the Goodness and mercy and love of God should be shown here, not hell and judgment, that is for God to judge not man and it is wrong
Peace

Well all i can say is i am christian and christians are humans too, we make mistakes just like everyone else and do wrong things sometimes but we try not to judge, but to guide other people in the right direction so sometimes we are portrayed as thinking we are better. Why cant you atheist just leave our religion alone? You dont have to beleive in god (although I think you should), but why do you have to bash christians because they do????!!!!

Christians are not "supposed" to do anything but believe that an innocent man's torture and death is the only ultimate price that must be paid for their sins.
Everything else is just unimportant trivia. Nothing is really bad if just claiming your right to forgiveness negates it.
