You should get a chefmate wooden cutting board. Chefmate makes long-lasting, durable products. Also, do not get a plastic cutting board, or any other type that is not wood. Knives cut through them and make it easy for bacteria to get into the crevices. Yuck! You can find some reasonably priced ones at Target or Bed, Bath and Beyond, or Linens and Things.

Check Ross.

I got a thick wooden one from there. It fits perfectly over 1/2 of the double sink.

Also, wooden boards are easy on knives but harbor bacteria,
Plastic boards are hard on knives.

Both should be washed with a bleach solution and hot water.

Have one board for vegetables and fruits and another board for meats.

Crate and Barrel is good. And I don't know what size sink you have. But C&B has cool ones with drainers.
