To what extent is the New York Stock Exchange visitable?

Browsing the webpage, I couldnt find anything about visiting times or accessibility of the facility on Wall Street. Has anyone of you ever been there?

You can not get in without an invite, you need to know someone.

However you can see the building and some of it is impressive but small. Threre not a lot to see, even the door to get in is nondescript.

Yes, I was there about 6 years ago....there was a visitors room above the floor where you could look down and see what was happening in the pits.....I will try to find out more in a minute...if I find something I will add to this note
