what is Cymbalta perscribed for?

I believe it's for depression. It's advertised on TV commercials quite a bit, as are most prescription drugs these days. They also list the side-effects, which to me sound worse than the condition they're supposed to cure. I believe Cymbalta's opening lines are "depression hurts", or something like that, which shows people who have lost interest in the things they used to like, or are experiencing severe symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Cymbalta is a first-class med. I consider that you just will have to provide it a shot. I have been on Cymbaltal for four month and have talk to others whom are taking the same medicine. I have had most effective positve feed again. Although, everybodies chemistry is unique, you would to find that it handiest works for you for the first 2 months. Do not emerge as overwhelmed. Continue looking for the drug that works along with your chemistry. I have been on Zoloft and Lexapro and they did not work for me.

It's used to treat major depression...and to relieve chronic pain .......this medication works by restoring the balance of two kinds of natural substances (neurotransmitters known as serotonin and norepinephrine) in the brain, thereby improving moods and gives you a feeling of well being...

Like everyone already stated, it's for depression. It's also used for diabetic nerve pain and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
