"the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose". Genesis 6:2 (King James version)
- clearly one has the daughters of MEN and sons of GOD instead of sons and daughters of men.

"God has a one and only son, he's name is Jesus. But we are also considered his sons and daughters"
- no no no, this is a philosophical answer, not one that answers the question. In Genesis above, you see the sons of God and daughters of men. They are way different. You have God's sons on one hand and men's daughters on the other marying.

well, you all say there is only ONE son, but this doesnt square well with SONS in plural. It is really clear, and simple: sons of God means just that. God had many sons and these arent descendants of adamic race.

Isn't this stuff interesting? Traditionally, this has been interpreted as angels giving into temptation and coming to Earth to enjoy material pleasures, ultimately mating with human women. The bible also says weird things about their offspring. In the Dead Sea Scrolls, there is a document entitled: "The war of the Sons of light against the sons of darkness".The "sons of light" being rightous men. Perhaps the "sons of God" is a similar sort of expression? A number of writers have interpreted this as Aliens mating with human females. Why can't women keep their legs closed? Then we wouldn't have to answer questions like this.

all angels are sons of God read the book of Job 1:6 and 2:1 also 38:4-7 in this last verse explain that they existed before humans.
Jesus is the first of the sons of God according to Colossians 1:15-17.
What is the difference in "the" and "THE" where in the bible explain that differences you can write in the translation but that doesn´t mean there are differences capitalized or not.

jn 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave his ONLY begotten Son, so that whosoever believes on him shall not perish , but shall have eternal life.sons plural and not capitalized are angels, and the angels that wanted to corrupt the gene pool of the world after the foretelling of Jesus , were demonic angels. soon after that verse in genesis u will see the great flood to cleanse the earth and start over fresh. if u have been searching for answers u are looking in the right place.may God help u on your quest.the bible does not have any fear of rational inquiry, as long as u are willing to refer too the bible, from where the question was inspired.if u see a word capitalized that isn't normally grammatical to capitalize it usually signifies deity,, examples would be Spirit,Son,Father, Word,Rock, etc

There is only One Eternal Son, the Co-equal Word, who became incarnate as Jesus. We all can become adopted sons and daughters of God in Christ through the Holy Spirit.

OK. God has a one and only son, he's name is Jesus.
But we are also considered his sons and daughters, so this verse is talking more about us as humans, believers of God.

A member of the Godhead took the form of human flesh and became, through that birth, a Son. There is no other like Him. Others may be called sons of god, but they are not of the same Divine Nature as the Godhead, unless through the "new birth" they become One with and in Him.

We are all adopted sons and daughters of God. The sons of god referred to in the verse was picked by Jewish writers from Near Eastern mythology.
"The sons of heaven: literally "the sons of the gods" or "the sons of God," i.e., the celestial beings of mythology."
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God.
Peace and blessings!

God the Father only had one son, Jesus Christ. Jesus came down to heaven so that we could be forgiven of our sins. He gave us the ultimate sacrifice. If you look at in perspective though, we are all God's children. So basically, all of humanity are God's sons and daughters.
