My brother in law currently has bladder cancer. They are planning to remove both his bladder and prostate. To replace the bladder, they have two approaches.
1. In some cases, the surgeon can make a bag inside the body with an opening which extends to the surface of the skin. Every couple of hours, the person inserts a small piece of tubing into the opening and drains the bag.
2.In other cases, the person wears a bag on his leg which has a tube which extends into the body. Again, this bag must be emptied every couple of hours.

They replace it with a plastic bag that is worn round the waist out of sight, or can be attached to the lower leg,if your wearing slacks. You cannot live without your bladder, as it isn't just liquids that fill the bladder, but other wastes from the kidneys.Men and women lead almost nornal lives with this condition. I guess it's not the best, but it sure beats dying.

the bladder is replaced with a neobladder. This neobladder is made with an intestinal segment:small bowel or colon.

you'll get a bag where your urine goes into. it cannot be placed into the body cavity where the bladder once was, so it will be on the outside.
you won't die from that. it'snot a difficult operation.
good luck
