Hi RC,
I have been flying since commercial propellor planes were "the only way to fly".
I have had fear of flying, but no longer. The risk of being in a commercial airplane accident is less likely to happen than any other method of transportation. Just think of the literally hundreds of thousands flights in the world every day and every second around the clock. How many have commercial air accidents have occurred?..extremely few. And these accidents are more often in 3rd world countries where plane maintenance is not a priority.
If you are truly nervous, sit in the aisle seat and avoid looking out the window during take-off and landing. The strongest part of the plane is at the wings, so you may want to request a seat on the wings (inside the fusilage, of course). I also like getting the emergency exit row seat, so if there is an emergency, I am the first one out! Often times, these emergencies are on ground.
If you drink alcohol, there is plenty on board to relax. You can also ask your doctor for a sedative if you are truly concerned and want to sleep the entire way.

I am sure you will have a wonderfully safe flight. The worst thing about flying is the leg room! Enjoy Las Vegas:)

If you have any further concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I've been riding on planes all my life, try to get a window seat if possible. You are ten times more likely to be in a car accident then in a plane crash. Just bring a book, snacks and some music and just relax, plane rides can actually be very soothing :)

Not if you know what you are doing, make sure you have filed a flight plan, put your flaps down on landing and keep an eye on the horizon.

Have fun and don't run out of AV fuel.
