Yes. Jesus told Nicodemus that he could not "see" (understand) the kingdom of God until he was born again. At conversion (salvation) we are given the Holy Spirit to guide us. It is difficult to explain, but once born again-it seems as though you get a new view of everything.
Unbelievers say-"show me enough and I might believe". But God says-" no,... trust me first, and I will show you more than you can imagine".

My experience was very similar to yours. I understood quite a bit, but there still remained even more that I didn't get. Even after salvation (I was 12), I continued to have the same difficulties, however I began to understand more and more as time passed.
I agree that this is a demonstration of God's power. Especially since I prayed before reading the Bible, and still do, although not when I was younger. I ask for understanding and revelation.
These days my reading the KJV is a fairly simple thing to do. And I am very grateful.
God bless you.

I really didn't have any problems understanding the concept from the Old and New Testaments. However; I did find it more interesting and a greater revelation regarding God's influence in the men and women. In essence; the true revelation of God's mercy and kindness, with the various characteristics behavior of people who were thieves, liars, murders, Kings, Queens, rich and poor. Its really amazing how God, simply examines the heart.

Yes, I agree. I couldn't understand a word of it. Too many thee and thou words. Not much interest. Then when I became saved, and started to read the Bible, it was like I understood everything! The blinders had been lifted off my eyes.
Truly, I once was blind but now I see.

Your experience affirms what Scripture says:
1 Corinthians 2:14
Ephesians 2:1
Romans 8:7
Ephesians 2:8-9
1 Corinthians 12:3
It's true not because you experienced it, but because God's Word says so.

Sure it is God's power. I understand what you are saying. I was a young teenager when I was saved so I didn't really understand much of anything before then.

When you become a Christian, the Holy Spirit gives you new life, and lives in your spirit to teach you how to live as a Christian, and how to understand and apply the Word of God to your life.
Before this, He does all in His power to bring you to Christ and the Word of God, so that you may repent and receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour.

yes it was very confusing to me before I got saved.
When I got saved, I really delved in to the Bible, reading cover to cover and the difference was, I asked God to give me wisdom and knowledge of His Word.
Anytime you share the Word of God, He is well pleased. Remember we are Gods voice to the nation...

Absolutely, it was like a vail was removed from my eyes. Things that I had read 100 times before was now clear. Once you accept that Jesus is Lord everything in the Bible made sense. Like you can now accept the TRUTH.
