I can't understand why scientist put so much faith in evolution which has not been proven, and not God.

Sorry to everyone that believes evoloution has been proven, but it has not it is all theory. Scientist have yet to find the so called missing link between mamals living today and fossils. Evoloution is just a theory! Just answer this in your head. Where does the Bible say the garden of Eden was and where do Scientist find the oldest civilixzations?

Everyone says that there is proof to eveloution but no one says what is the proof it is all a big guess. Scientist can't even agree if it was a big bang or something else. If it was so proven why are scientist still looking for the missing link.

Scientists don't put "faith" into evolution. They put THOUGHT into it. That's why they recognize the evidence you apparently can't or won't look at for yourself.

I bet you were shown a picture of two monkeys by a Creationist, asked if they were your grandparents and if they weren't (obviously) then told that it means evolution is wrong.

A person who does not remotely understand evolution, then obviously does not have a grasp on the definition of 'theory'.

A theory is a mathematical or logical explanation, or a testable model of the manner of interaction of a set of natural phenomena, capable of predicting future occurrences or observations of the same kind, and capable of being tested through experiment or otherwise falsified through empirical observation. It follows from this that for scientists "theory" and "fact" do not necessarily stand in opposition. For example, it is a fact that an apple dropped on earth has been observed to fall towards the center of the planet, and the theory which explains why the apple behaves so is the general theory of relativity.

Also, 'God' has a various meanings to different people. To some people 'God' means Jesus, to others it means some sort of spiritual entity, and to others it has no meaning. You have to be specific when you ask a question with a context of 'God' in it.

Since 'God' created everything, then evolution (which in fact has been proved) is part of God's plans.

Scientists want to prove that everything has a process of existing, and things just don't appear out of no where. To them what makes more logical sense is that the world evolved just the way many things grow and evolve as we have observed. Maybe some believe in God, but just not that he created things as they are today, but rather 'planted' a seed for evolution long, long time ago?

If they had to go by the premise that God has created Earth, then they would have no way to even attempt to prove it.

If they worked on the theory of evolution, they would always have some curiosity and the motivation to prove something as an intelligent human being.

Scientists do not have "faith". Faith is belief despite the lack of empirical evidence. Evolution is based on a very large amount of empirical evidence, so no faith is involved.

There is no empirical evidence to support the creation story from the Bible. If you believe that story is true, you believe it purely because you've been taught to believe it is true by people who believe it because *they* were taught it was true, in long series of generations going back about 2800 years. The original people who made up the creation story of the Bible were basically telling tales around campfires, and for some crazy reason that story stuck.

You may think I am crazy for believing this explanation, but there is far more evidence for my version of the story behind the creation story than there is for what is told by the creation story. If you want to continue believing the story based on faith, go ahead, but if you think there is any objective evidence to believe it is true, then you're the crazy one.

The thing that makes it hardest for many people to believe that God created the earth is that people like you suggest one has to choose between God creating and evolution. Evolution HAS been proven beyond reasonable doubt. Darwin put his theory forward before most of the archaeological/paleontological evidence of transitional fossils, the apes and other primates in Africa, and genetics showing how DNA works as the mechanism driving and transmitting variations. Darwin's theory made predictions, and every one that has been tested has passed with flying colors. There have been improvements as our knowledge has increased, but there is no serious doubt about evolution - there are only people who "know" it didn't happen because they have not studied the evidence but have only read young-earth creationist propaganda which uses outdated and misconstrued information.

In short, a lot more people would accept that God created if it were not for people like you!

Let me also point out the obvious for those intelligent people who might read this: EVOLUTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHO MADE THE EARTH!!!

the evidence to evolution is excepted as fact and god is not a matter of science as there is no proof to such if you are talking about the earth evolution has nothing to do with the conjectures dealing with the origin of the universe that is the big bang theory . a little knowledge is a dangerous thing .

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of thing not seen. Hebrews 11:1

I don't have to see something to believe it. I know that when I wake up in the morning that I will be able to breathe even though I can't actually see the air. God did create the earth, and I'm sorry for those of you who don't know that.

There is considerably more proof that evolution is a fact, but then again, any proof at all would be more than that of the existence of a god. Religion is by definition, practice, and fact based solely on faith and belief. Evolution is supported by scientific findings, research, and experimentation. Science is based on observational facts, not faith. Try reading a dictionary or a book about the scientific method. You might actually learn something useful. Good luck.

Science is not religion. For science to wade into the field of religion by attempting to answer questions outside of what empircal science can prove... is purest dishonesty.

God doesn't weigh in on a scale, focus through an electron microscope or precipitate out of a testtube. They can't prove God there... neither can they prove evolution in the lab.

Science began because of the nearly universally held belief that God created the universe and thus what order and design and law that God put INTO it, could be discovered, observed, and predicted-- and sure enough- it was so.

Not what you'd expect out of a random explosion.

But since science has to pick a side- they pick evolution- even though it violates empircal law, because any other choice means we have to be accountable to a Creator. Why THAT is so scary... is another question!

ya. they can believe something they never see happening tens of millions years ago - two big rocks crashing into each other, man evolving from fishes, and apes.

big bang is really a crazy idea too.they are crazy about rocks and fossils. but at least i am crazy for God who loves me and died for me. :)

Do you believe in atomic theory?

After all, have you (or anyone) ever seen an atom?

.... must be just a lie.
