What if LDS was the only denomination of Christianity left? Would you guys be against adding the Book of Mormon onto the Bible along with the other books...Book of Job, Book of Genesis. I'm not Christian so I couldn't be offended either way.

I'm not sure I understand you... but let me clear something up.

The Bible is only a very small portion of all the scripture that has ever been written. The Catholics already took several books out of the Bible. The Bible is not the whole word of God.

2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine...

The teaching that the 66 Books in the Bible is, was and ever will be the only scripture is false.

The Bible actually prophecies of the coming forth of the Book of Mormon.

Ezekiel 37:15-17 and Psalms 85:11.

So to answer your question... it doesn't really matter if it is in the same physical book... they're both scripture.

Yeah, I think it should always be released as a seperate book. You can order it as a seperate book, as part of what's called a Triple Combination (where the BoM, the D&C, and the PofGP is all in one), and most recently in what's called a Quad, where all four books of what we consider to be scripture (the Bible, and the Triple Combination). However just as the Bible is divided into two parts with different title pages (OT, and NT), so is the Quad, and the Triple for that matter.
It took me a while to decide to get a quad. One reason is that I didn't want to be seen as having done what non-Mormons seem to think we've already done. And since all my family are not members, it was a cause for pause. But I finally decided that I knew I wasn't replacing the Bible with any other book of scripture, so what did it matter, as long as I felt it was ok, and felt right with God about it.

The Bible is the stick of Judah and the Book of Mormon is the stick of Joseph. Two books about different parts of the world.

And MrPeeper, my Bible and Book of Mormon are bound together, and the pages are normal and it's not that much thicker than my Bible that isn't bound with my Book of Mormon and not heavy at all. It's called a Quad. It has the KJV of the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price. It also contains color maps of ancient Egypt and Jerusalem, and beautiful color pictures of the Nile River, Mount Sinai, the Judean Wilderness, the Dead Sea, Kadesh-Barnea, The Tombs of the Patriarchs, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Golgotha, etc. Just to name a few. And still looks like a normal everyday book used for worship! :)

I'm going to pretend that you are honestly asking and not trolling. Trolling is so tedious and normally I'm pretty flippant with trolls. But I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and give you an honest answer. Bible or Book of Mormon (not "Mormons)-we read both! They do not contradict each other. They testify of each other. Ensign quote: This is correct. Without their transgression, they would have remained in a state of innocence and we, the human race, would not exist. While it is true that they introduced both sin and death into the world, this was necessary for mankind to fully experience mortality. We do not believe that we are punished for Adam's transgression. By that logic, mortality itself would be a punishment. We are allowed to CHOOSE sin or righteousness. However, human nature, being what it is, mankind sins. And mankind dies. Enter the need for a Saviour. By the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are saved both from our sins and from physical death. Brigham Young and the "Adam-God theory"...we do not teach that at this time. Why is it in the Journal of Discourses? I don't know. But I DO know that official Church position on it is that we do not believe that God the Father and Adam were/are the same individual. So your second point, I am completely in agreement. Adam and YHWH were NOT the same person.

Well, one the Book of Mormon is set up like the Bible, it has several different books within it.

(Nephi, 2 Nephi, Jacob, Enos, Jarom, Omni, Words of Mormon, Mosiah, Alma Helaman, 3 Nephi, 4 Nephi, Mormon, Ether, and Moroni)

And actually the LDS church has the Quad, or Book of Mormon, Bible, Docterine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price, altogether in one large book. So, I'm of course not against it. I'm use to the concept.

I am LDS. Maybe you're not aware of it, but we already have sets of scriptures that contain The Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price all together in one book. They are separated by book, so the Book of Mormon isn't "part" of the Bible, but they are under the same cover and are used together. I don't know if they will ever be completely merged together, but we certainly consider them all to be scripture together, with the only distinction being the time and place they were written.

Actually you can buy what we in the LDS faith call a "quad" it has all four books of scripture in one binding, but they are all separated by title pages, pictures, topical guide, and even a Bible dictionary.
And for the record the Book of Mormon was not written in 1870 by Joseph Smith... Joseph Smith was martyred in 1844. And the book was published in 1830. Also tests have shown that the sentence structure of the book do not match Joseph Smith's or any of his followers. In fact it shows something like 24 different types of writing including ancient Hebraic poem structures written in perfect form. Now how can a farmer from Western New York done all of that?

The Mormons have a concordance at the end of their KJV bible that you can look up any subject on anything, it combines any subject on all their scriptures from their KJV bible to the BofM, to the Pearl of Great Pirce, and the Doctrine of Covenants and the Book of Moses and the book of Abraham, did I forget and books? So they have already done this thru their concordance.

i believe that it should be up to the buyer of the book to pick if it be added or not because they are the one who will read it and possibly be carrying it around. Also, if everyone who is Christian become LDS they would probably not have a problem with it. That is what i think.

I think the current practice of dividing the four standard works --- The Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price --- is an appropriate decision. The thematic and historic arrangement is useful for study purposes and understanding the purpose and context behind each of the works.
