Actually....there are two distinct creations myths in Genesis. The first (Genesis 1:1 - 2:3), written by Jerusalem Priests after the Babylonian exile (and identified by Bible scholars as the P Document), states that God (Elohim) created animals and then man and woman together at the same time.
Genesis 1:27 "God (Elohim) created man in His own image, in the image of God (Elohim) He created him; male and female He created them. "
In the second creation myth (beginning at Genesis 2:4), which is much older and written by a scribe in the southern Kingdom of Judah before the Exile (identified by scholars as the J document for its use of the name Jehovah (a german transliteration of Yahweh)), Jevohah God (Yahweh Elohim) creates man, then all the animals, and only after man is unable to find suitable company with the animals, does He create woman from a rib.
Genesis 2:7 "Then the LORD God (Yahweh Elohim) formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being."
Genesis 2:18 "Then the LORD God (Yahweh Elohim) said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” "

Not sand, "Dust of the earth" - which is technically true - the elements that make up the human body are carbon, hydrodgen, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorous, and sodium. These are the same elements that make up dirt.
It's neat that the phrase is used "dust of the earth" because dust in your house is actually mostly human skin cells :)
And also, it wasn't an apple - infact it doesn't matter what kind of fruit it was because it wasn't the fruit itself that doomed mankind, it was disobeying God and entering into a path of life where we try to figure out for ourselves what is right and wrong instead of obeying God's commandments. The command was, technically arbitrary. God gave them a simple command to see if they trusted him and would obey him. He could have easily said "thou shalt not hop on one leg" or "thou shalt not swim in this pond" - it was a very simple command, that is why the punishment for disobeying it was so severe.
And think about the way you are in your own heart - when you wonder about whether you should do or not do something on Friday night, is the first thought in your heart "I wonder what God would want me to do?" If not, you are determining for yourself what is right and wrong just like everybody else on this planet!

They were made of the same elements as dust or earth not sand. The Bible never mentions an apple but fruit. It was not the fruit that doomed them and their offspring but disobedience to God which is sin. Romans 5:12 says "...through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned."

And your point sandman?
Guess what, you also have a living soul that God breathed into your ancestor. That soul is eternal, and will take on a Spiritual Body after you die.
That body will either reside with Christ in Heaven or in the Lake of Fire which is the Second Death for all eternity.
At the name of Jesus every knee will bow. See you there.

I don't believe the apple had supernatural powers, yet it was the act of disobeying God that caused the separation between mankind and God.

It is symbolic, and not literal. It is myth. It is about everyone - that is why the main character was named "Human" (sometimes transliterated "Adam", but it wasn't a name when Genesis was written). All human beings reach a time when we realize we are naked - we come of age and become morally discerning and morally responsible, and lose our childish innocence. That is what the story is about.

who said anything about an apple? People believe myths even when the truth is right in front of their face....God made man from the EARTH...all the elements that compose everything on earth were all amalgamated into humna beings, the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil isn't a piece of fruit, it's Godless source of knowledge!!!!

It's only confusing because you don't know the whole story.
The apple had been poisoned by an evil witch, and this made them have 7 dwarves and messed up the genes of all future humans.

Well, if you believe in evolution, then you are saying that the world and everything in it developed from a rock with no guidance.
