Well a girl I work with and I are just starting to date now. But the problem is that where I work, there are many gossips (a department of 75 people). Oh they mean well, but if word gets around then there will be the usual teasing and all this extra added pressure, and really its none of their business. What advice can you give to make an office romance successful.

I don't think dating anyone from the workplace is a good idea but I guess you already fell into that trap huh?
I suggest not acting like a couple at work
you know the old saying - dont mix work with pleasure - or something.
anyways if you guys act all lovey dovey at the workplace then everyone will DEFINITELY start talking...and probably start hating both of you.
NO pda's at work
NO asking people you work with advice about your relationship
actually dont even tell people you're dating...keep it a secret from co-workers as long as you can.

Be careful about "fishing off the company pier" - not only can it lead to gossip and awkward situations (especially if you break up or are fighting), but it can easily get you fired...
Many companies have specific policies in place that prevent you from dating - be it anyone in the company, or anyone who you directly report to (or who reports to you).
Research this immediately if you are thinking about persuing this relationship any further - then think about all the potential problems that can arise by being around your girlfriend/fiancee/wife on a 24/7 basis...
As for a moral answer - office romances can work, but they fail almost as often as long distance relationships. If the two of you can ignore the gossip (try to remain professional during office hours - even breaks!), then there is a good chance it could work out :)

well just follow your heart if it says she is the right one then go ahead because they would not know what true love means and if they start teasing you then you should remember that you have someone to help you overcome the pressure

Just smile soon enough they get bored talking about you and this girl at work. Don't show them it getting to you gossiping etc.

dont dip your pen in company ink.
gossip finds its way somehow and soon everyone at your work will know, its just all about how you handle it. try explaing to your associates that you really care for her and like her.
