structural engineering dictates that a boat of his size & capacity could not be built without metal bracing or skeletal support. so is the story fact or fiction?

LOL According to the stories, Noah Built an Arc (big boat) Moses parted the Red Sea, turned the waters of Egypt into blood, and brought forth plagues, and a rain of fire from the sky...

The story you told is no more fact that the rendition in the bible...

Well it seems we all caught your trick question.

Noah built it- and those who've built scale replicas of the BARGE- as it is not built as a boat, but a barge... say that it survived the worst that any of their wave machines could throw at it- always turning itself into the wave.

I've read how genius's at Universities have tried to design a boat that could do better than the Ark barge- but none could match it. The ark model always fared better. Amazing luck? It was the first floatation device ever built- without any experience. Might have actually been by God's instruction then, huh? :)

Hope this helps.

First of all it was Noah who build a ship.
Second of all it is possible... back then the ships were all made out of wood... DUH!
Third of all... look around... history is full of stuff that science has no explanation for.
No one still has an answer for how did the Egyptians build the pyramids... they only have theories.
No one still has an answer for the Stonehenge.
etc... etc...
So?! It could have been possible... and also almost all the religions agree with this matter that Noah did built a huge ship. So why not accept that it was true?

It was Noah not Moses that built the Ark. People have built things for thousands of years without metal. havent you seen houses etc. built in the past by making the wood fit perfectly together? You can believe what you want but i think God has a little more experience.

Noah built the ark and followed the instructions given to him by God. It was made of Gopher wood.

I didn't know Moses ever built a boat. Where did you read about that?

Moses didn't need a boat. He parted the sea and walked through it. I think you mean Noah. And I think it's a folk tale.

you might want to take another history class. the romans and egyptians actually had larger vessels, and then there was the cartoginians. people 'back in the day' weren't as 'primative' as some people like to to think.
