Children under the age of 14 have to have special provisions made to travel as unaccompanied minors. If you were my 16 year old you wouldn't be traveling to Miami or anywhere else without adult supervision. A group of 16 year olds traveling alone to a large city is just asking for trouble-there are too many perverts and freaks out in the world these days.

Yes...you need to call the specific airline and ask their policies. The website below lists the guidelines for United Airlines, but each airline is different. However, there are restrictions on hotels rooms..many hotels will not register anyone under 21 years of age without an accompanying adult. Also, of course, your parents are going to have something to say about this!

I sent my daughter to Spain when she was 16, including changing planes in NYC without a problem or parents letter. As long as you have ID (drivers license or passport), you and your friends won't have a problem

I think you would need a relative in miami to pick you up. You can travel to maimi alone.

Generally, you can travel alone, but you will need a parent, guardian or relative to pick you up from the airport.

Yes, you can. My friend has been flying back and forth from SF to New Jersey solo since she was 11 (her parents are divorced so she travels to see them). You probably need some kid of permission letter or something.
