If I am not to use my judgment to decide which god is worthy and which god is unworthy of my worship, just how do they expect me to choose to worship any god at all?

What criteria am I to use if not my own judgment?

And what would it say about me and my judgment if I said yes, the god I worship dorwned babies, and it was good because God did it?

What does it say about them that they've never given it a second thought?

Gnosticism addressed this question, and decided the creator of this universe, Jehovah, was evil, or at least imperfect.

Where did you come up with that idea? I've heard of the clergy of Christendom ordering people to avoid reading the Bible, but this is a new one on me!

Of course you must use your judgement as to which god you will serve! In the end, that is what each person is left with. Hopefully, it is a Bible trained judgement. Study that goes to your heart is the way to go. It will give you direction as to what life is and what is truly important. That will allow you to choose well.

Christians like myself might not want you to say the word "worthy" because it seems like you are judging God as if you were supeiror to him. That is only me though. I doubt most Christians are like that though.

Instead of saying judgement, why don't you say "choice" or "selection"? The bible says that judging is wrong and that judging God is definatly wrong because he is perfect.

Who is to say that Christians never gave their belief a second thought? My belief in God never wandered, but my belief in some of the mentions in the bible has.

If they believe that drowing babies is okay, then I would honestly say that they don't know God. He doesn't like to see us killing each other. Plus killing babies cannot be justified.

Plus what would it say about a girl if she were an atheist who believed abortion was okay. Killing your unborn child is no different from drowning babies. Either way, your taking a life.

first, you will desire to rephrase you question...what form of a God could enable His followers fail, and then enable them to decide on punishment so in accordance with their previous judgements? A basically and gratifying God. He gave us unfastened will and as a result can not interfere with our strikes. yet He set before us, regulations, that we are able to the two decide directly to persist with or push aside. AND He despatched Jesus to die for ALL of our sins, and it replaced right into a cruel, terrible and tormenting death yet He did it for us, because of the fact He loves us. Jesus would have genuinely returned off and forgotten approximately us, yet He did no longer, He went by way of with the crucifixion, torment and each and all the humiliation set upon Him, to pay for OUR sins. So Is a God that did/does all those pronounced issues worth of worship? definite! *<~To Valles Marineris~>* Being created in a ineffective ringer for God, does no longer propose we can be precisely like Him. everyone knows that the creation of a author is oviously no longer exceedingly much as good as this is author. comparable applies to us.

I believe in your last question, I answered that I don't really consider sitting in judgment on the Creator was something I would feel comfortable doing.

Now.....what you have to say about God, that's rather up to you, don't you think?

Sorry, you have been misinformed. Christians do not believe we should not judge whether or not a god is worthy of our worship. Christians believe there is only one God, period -- the one True God.

I'm not sure who told you that Christians believe that, but I'm pretty sure that they told you a lie.
