Part of their mission is to preach, preach, preach. What if everybody who isn't already a Christian got that "state of mind" thing down and just meditated, drowning out the sound of preaching, or if they miraculously succeeded in converting everyone on earth to Christianity (yeah, I can hear you now going "ha ha ha")? For the sake of argument, let's say there is no one for them to preach to. What do they do?

I imagine that they'd place a greater focus on the various sects of Christianity, trying to correct the errors that they believe that other Christians are making.

Rebekkah, everyone is a preacher. (of something). Atheists on this site are going a bang up job of preaching their deal.

St. Francis said preach the Gospel at all times, when necessary - use words.

When (if) all the people were Christians (saved, converted, whatever you want to call it) Jesus would already be returned.

When that has happened, we're done with this little adventure called life and and busy with that new relationship of Knowing Him as we are Known - that is knowing Him perfectly.

It's very interesting to see what Christians (in the USA, at least) actually do, vis-a-vis society. 83% of Americans are **professing** Christians... which includes both actaul Christians by definition (having accepted Christ as Savior, in repentance) and pseudo-Christians who claim to be Christians, but have not taken that step. Of that 83%, about 6% are RRR cultists, and most of those are fanatically dedicated to the destruction of women's right to choose abortion, and to denying reasonable rights to gays (including same-sex marriage). Most RRR cultists are so absorbed in such ignorant hatefulness that hardly any of them take time to attempt to carry out the Great Commission (i.e., spreading the Gospel to non-Christians).

That leaves the remaining 94% of those Americans who profess Christianity. And many Christian leaders have noticed -- and lamented! -- that fewer than 1% of those ever make the effort to spread the Gospel.

Most professing-Christian Americans who aren't RRR cultists live very normal workaday lives, and don't really "project" their faith outwardly. (The good news is that at least they aren't RRR cultists. The obnoxious RRR cultists support sociopathic and unbiblical agendas of oppression that aren't even remotely Christian, and serve no good purpose whatsoever.

So to answer your question, based on the above -- if there were no one left to convert, it would probably make absolutely no difference to more than 99% of America's professing Christians.

Actually the original instruction from Jesus was to spread the "good message". But religious empires have changed that to "good news" - it might sound insignificant but it is a huge difference when it comes to those who feel compelled to preach you into submission.

- I would imagine you don't want me to elaborate. But, the real message is related to finding so much peace in your heart that you get a taste of the real thing (Heaven, God's kingdom, or whatever you want to call it)

We do nothing because a part of our mission in life will be complete...God rewards everyone for all good deeds and converting someone to Christianity is an honorable deed...if everyone was a Christian, then we would all be saints.

They would fight among each other, it is natural. You see it already with catholics and Protestants. Whenever you have a mass group of people trying to decipher fables from some outdated like the bible disagreements will occur. This is what happens when people forget how to think for themselves!

Alex got it right. They would fight amongst each other.

here is a history question for you. Which group has killed more Christians?

and as a hint the answer is not atheists, Jews, or Muslims

The Bible states that once every ear has had the opportunity to hear the Gospel, then Jesus will return.
