Well in my case it's because my primary Patron is a God, but I worship Goddesses as well.

Although I'm assuming you are meaning the Abrahamic religions in this case, in which my answer to that would be: tradition. The Abrahamic G_d has traditionally always been referred to in the male sense because there are no gender neutral pronouns in Hebrew and few people are comfortable with referring to G_d as an "It". And since the Jews are a largely patriarchal oriented society...well, there you have it. It doesn't mean that they see G_d as male though, particularly in Judaism where G_d is viewed as being both genders, or as neither gender.

No God is a male though He has an immediate counterpart who is female She is Goddess. We cant lump them together that is not reality. Though She doesn't play the same position as He. She is servitor Goddess. She is in the mood of pure loving service. So he is still The Supreme God. Also known As Krisha And She is Radha also known as Laksmi, Narayan and Sita Rama. Well I don't think that anyone's denying the existence of femininity. No it does not strike me as sexist. I personally do believe in both a god and a goddess with equal strenght and influence.

Fact is we cant limit God as a masculine or a feminine or neuter. He is beyond gender.
True many religious people mention God as Male as they are trained that way. But there are many others who pray to God as female, probably u have not seen them and there are other who pray formless God too.

Well, Jesus' two parents were Mary and God.

Now, since Mary was undoubtedly a female, it's only natural to refer to the other parent -- God -- as a male.

Of course, at the end of the day, God is really neither male nor female.

HE is God the Father (male), God the Son (male) and God the Holy Spirit (which is also referred to as HE or male).

Pretty clear if you ask me.

God revealed himself as a male. To call Him female would be an insult.

Well, in the Bible it says God made man in "His" own image. So most people take that as God being a male.

For the same reasons they give "him" emotions, a personality, allow Him repentance and remorse; to take what they claim is an omnipotent, all-encompassing entity and make it pocket-sized so that even the really stupid ones can be brainwashed with it.
