Have your prayers been answered?

Absolutely Bluedevil. Here is just one. I was out building a hot wire fence for a temporary day pen for our horses and I needed to get the juice from the east end of my 72 foot long barn to the west end. I decided to run a wire thru the eave rafters by drilling holes in them and threading the wire thru the holes . I had purchased 2 spools of insulated alum. wire that said on each package ( 64.5 feet ) . I had already used one spool to go under some gates and from the power source to the east end of the barn. Now I actually needed exactly 82 feet of wire because I needed about 5 feet on each end of the barn to reach from the barn eave rafters down to the hot wire that was about waist high. So as I was stretching that spoll that said there was only 64.5 feet on it and knowing it was gonna be 17.5 feet short. I started to pray out loud . I said. Lord, you know that I've been to town 3 times already for this job. I said, Lord, I know you have the power to do anything, because the good book says that nothing shall be impossible with God. Lord could you just stretch this here wire for me so I wont have to go to town again ? Well thats exactly what I said. I was just talking out loud in a conversational voice and to tell you the truth I did not expect God to answer that prayer because I had never prayed for material things like that before. When I got about 3/4 of the way across the barn I noticed that I should have been getting close to being out of wire, but i wasnt. I just kept on threading it thru the holes and my hands started shaking when I got towards the end because I knew something had happened . By the time I got to the end of the barn I had exactly 5 feet left to go down to the hot wire. I was so excited that I started shouting out to the Lord my thank yous. That wire was exactly 82 feet long. All I had to do was strip off the insulation and splice it to the hot wire . God answered my prayer by stretching that wire 17.5 feet while it was in my hands . Halleluia! It was a miracle. I got down on my knees in the barn dirt and praised my God for all I was worth. I want you to know brother that God answers prayers. Not all of them, but the ones he wants to. He has very good reasons for which ones he does and which ones he doesnt. I dont know why he answerwed mine , but I think it was something on this wise. There He was , God and creator of all the universe sitting up there in heaven on his throne surrounded by some of his angels and they were looking down at me stretching that wire. And God says to the angels , "You hear what this guy is asking for ? This guy believes I can stretch that wire. Lets give it to him and knock his socks off!!" And He did. Brother I want to tell you God has answered prayers and worked many miracles in my life , my wife's life, my sons' lives and in many people I know. Each one of those recipients is a sevant of the most high God. They love God and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. If you want answered prayer ... Check it out God Bless you Cap'n Arlo

I look at it this way personally - however unaccepted this view will probably be - There is ONE GOD - He is the creator of all, He is our Heavenly Father and loves ALL His children here on earth now and since the beginning of time. He operates on very real eternal spiritual laws that govern the universe one of which is that in part that when we obey God's laws we are blessed period! That doesn't mean a law of christianity necessarily because obviously MANY people on the earth are NOT Christians and do not know God & Christ - but some spiritual laws are universal - that of charity, brotherly love, service to others, honor, truth, morality, goodness, purity, etc. Just because people SEE, know, think, believe or call HIM by some other name - I BELIEVE that one day when we leave this life we will THEN ALL KNOW HIM for certain and clearly and see, know & realize ALL TRUTH. Because clearly no one has ALL TRUTH now just because they are christian or anything else - man is narrow minded, flawed and hopelessly prideful and arrogant and so often THINKS he/we know so much about the nature & complexities of GOD...which is why many want to try and narrowly box Him and His truths ONLY within the pages of this little imperfect book called the bible SURELY God is SO much more than we know Him to be.... SO of course He answers the prayers of ANYONE who lives righteously and through the eyes of THEIR FAITH ask for help from a Deity that they have come to know personally, even if they know Him by some other name. To me - this is far more realistic given the population of the world and the actual small percentage of that world who knows God & Jesus Christ and is "christian"..... IF God is "no respecter" of persons then isn't this view a bit more reasonable and realistic? It is to me.... : ) Just my point of view....

Yes. But I know that God's answers can be yes, no, or wait. Every sincere prayer is answered by God.

Sometimes Christians seem to have the idea that God is a great big vending machine in the sky. Put in your dollar and *poof* your wish is granted.

True faith and humility make us willing to accept whatever answer that God sees is best for us.
