There is no full time active duty or enlisted. Your choices are active duty, guard or reserve. Any choice you make you can be deployed especially in the Army. As for benefits most of them are the same for active duty, guard or reserve. Like you pay is better when your active duty and you get all benefits. Some smaller benefits are cut out when you reserve or guard and your pay is about half (I think). It all depends on what else you want to do. If you want the option to go to college easier and work somewhere else more you want guard or reserve. If you want more money and see places and go to college later go active duty. I do want to remind you that there is the Iraq War going on so being in the Army your probably going to go to Iraq no matter if you join active duty, reserve or guard. You have to think about that. If you don't really want to go to Iraq you might want to look into the Navy or Air Force. As for deploying in any branch of the Armed Forces it depends on what job you get. I do advise going in guaranteed of a certain job and don't believe a damn thing your recruiter tells you. In the military there's only enlisted (sergeants, privates, etc) or officers(generals, captains, etc). Just do what you think is best.

Don't listen to the first answer.
You are getting yourself confused. Enlisted is your "grunt" soldier, you follow orders.
Active duty is your 9 - 5, everyday soldier.
You were referring to National Guard or Reserves when you said enlisted.
I joined the Army, about to head on a deployment to Iraq, have a year of college under my belt. I know my family will be secure while I'm gone. I have no regrets, I made a good choice.
Do research about your option. Don't join unless you research and KNOW what you want. Mistakes happen that way.

Enlisted is a grade, and active duty is a type of tour.
Enlisted means you're a grunt. You do the tough work, and you don't have a degree.
Active duty means you sign up to be full-time. The only other option is reserves.

Um, I don't understand your question.. "Full time active duty or enlisted?" Unless you receive a commssion as an officer, regardless of whether you're full time or reservist, you'd still be enlisted.
I admit my bias, having been Navy, I spent most of my career with the Marine Corps. If you want to do something special, be one of the few, one of the proud, go Marine Corps. If you want to be an army of one, go army. Truly, my recommendation is, regardless of which branch you choose, get yourself a college degree first. Go officer, life is so much better. Pay is better and the privileges far out number anythng the enlisted get. You'll spend most of your young adult life as an enlisted working your way up the chain to get where the college boys start. Why do that to yourself? Been there, done that and got the t-shirt to prove it.

You mean active duty or National Guard right? Enlisted is a rank. Enlisted is PVT to CSM. It also means you are not an officer. Yes, it is better to go active duty. The benefits are better. But it is entirely up to you.
Good Luck!

Everyone gets deployed
When deployed you get the same benefits as active duty, because you are on active duty.
This includes schools, AGR, and deployments

I assume you mean active duty or reserve, otherwise you mean enlisted or commissioned. It's better to join the Air Force, and it's better to be commissioned. ONLY IF YOU MAKE SURE YOU USE THE BENEFITS THEY OFFER YOU.
Go Air Guard!

Join the service thats right for you. All are different, all have different job specialties and you should look into what women can and can not do in that branch. I joined the Coast Guard because women have no restrictions here. We can do everything the men can.
Good Luck in your journey!!!
