You really need to try to get a copy of the book "You can Heal your Life' by Louise Hay. I've read it numerous times and it has helped me to overcome panic/anxiety disorder.

It is very empowering and can relate to numerous things in our life that we want to change or be different. It concentrates on us getting rid of thoughts that do us no good, and helps us to get rids of things from the past by tidying our mental storage rooms.

Good Luck

There's nothing wrong with taking out our mistakes and heartaches now and again so that we can examine them and try to learn from them. However, we have to work to take control of our lives and put them away so we aren't always dragged down by the bad things in our lives. It's a process, taken one day at a time. It starts with some self-talk: telling ourselves that we aren't going to dwell on those things today, we are going to find positive things in the world to take our attention. Then we have to go out and do them. If you always keep the negative close at hand, you're dooming yourself to repeating them. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy - "Bad things always happen to me." It clouds us from seeing the positive, even when it slaps us in the face. Effecting change isn't necessarily easy, but it's important. I think one way to change our course is to find new interests and become involved. Stay busy and you'll hopefully have less time to pay attention to the baggage.

I think that we have to remind ourselves occassionally to stay in the here and now and maybe even possibly future and pace ourselves and everyonce in a while let ourselves reminesce about our past so that we can be sad and happy about it. I don't think we should focus on it that much, that is what you mean isn't it, letting it go so we can move on?
