I have the same problem, trying to date guys that are short. I'm 5'4 and my new boyfriend is only 5'6. Really, I would say if you are attracted to him and he's nice, go for it. The only thing I would worry about is why your friends think he's a freak? If it's just his height, disregard it. Looks don't mean a thing as long as you have fun together and he is honestly a nice guy. Go with your gut.

Do YOU think he's weird? And is that bad? Weird could be fun or creepy, depends on what you mean.
I am a short guy (5' 6") and I really resent the fact that height is considered a negative in coupling. So look, if you like him, give him a shot. If he's totally creepy that's another issue. Don't decide based on you friends' judgment, use yours.

it's your relationship, you're life. If you let people, whether it be friends, bosses, family affect your life choices you may end up a very unhappy person.
Yes being short is not considered attractive by women, but think about it this way: I'm sure he'd love to be taller, it's not something he chose.
I knew a short guy who said that any girl to shallow to give him a chance because of his height wasn't worth his time anyway. You know this, but I'll reiterate it...go for personallity because phsyical attraction can be short lived.

If you let your friends dictate to you who to date what else do they control about you? Who's life is this? Speaking as a cute short guy say yes. You will probably have the time of your life.

Why do your friends think he is a freak, do you know anything about him? Do you think he is a freak. Are you in any classes with him, and if so, do you think he acts freaky or weird?
If you like him, what harm will it do to go out with him, if you are uncomfortable, go out for coffee or lunch first to get to know him better before you commit to a night date.
Good luck.

You really shouldn't decide what you are going to do bye your friends reactions. You need to do what you want to do. If your friends are going to give you ****, or say they aren't your friends anymore just because you are going out with this guy, then they have big problems. They they are not your true friends. Just because THEY think he's a freak doesn't mean he is. YOU need to give him a chance if you want to. If you like him then go for it. You may regret never going out with him.

If you like him then why not go on a date with him. If your friends are gonna give you a hard time for going out with a short guy, tell them to get over it.
You might get on well with the guy, or you might not ...but one date's not gonna hurt.
Ps: don't wear high heels on your date :-)

Do you like this person? Have you gotten to know him? If you like him, it shouldn't matter what other people say. If your friends care about you, they should accept who you are dating if he is good to you. Good Luck!!
My boyfriend is shorter (He's about an inch taller than me) and different than the guys I am usually attracted to. But I gave him a chance. And its been an amazing year and a half!!

You should go with your gut. If you feel you wouldn't be able to take the crap your friends would dish out, then don't go for it. If you friends would end up supporting you in the end, then go for it. Your friends are probably more important than a stranger.

If you like him, and your friends are true, they should not try to make you feel bad about a guy you like, if they give you a hard time then they aren't very good friends. They should be supportive of you
