How would you respond to the fact that your son/daughter brought home an illegal immigrant?? If they have found the person they chose to marry and you as the parent did not know the person was illegal until way later in the relationship or they decided to get married?

Well...If my son/daughter brought home someone who turned out to be a Nazi, then they must've not been a TRUE Nazi because they wouldn't go near a Mexican-American. Why? Because Im Mexican-American thank you very much!

Micky: I always look forward to your answers, because its all nonsense. BTW, you don't have control with who your son/daughter falls in love with.

If my son brought home an illegal immigrant of any race I would talk to both of them separatly and together. I would tell him hes crazy. He will be used so she could get her family brought here. She better not be pregnant. I would tell her, if she hurts my son Ill hunt her down like a dog and make her wish she was never born. Together I would tell them they are welcome in my home as long as they need to stay. Meanwhile, my husband will be upstairs calling immigration, so they can deport her butt. :) Have a nice night.

To clear things up, I am not against immigrants of any kind, I just feel they need to get here the right way and do things like the rest of us such as pay taxes to make things fair. Anyway, that's a really tough question and since I don't know the person, it's hard to say. Probably, I would try to convince them to become a U.S. citizen and list the benefits to it. Try to talk to your son or daughter and convince them that this is not right, and get their support in explaining the reason their husband or wife should become a legal immigrant.

Why do you say a Nazi would not go near a Mexican? Mexico was an active trading partner with Nazi Germany throughout World War 2. Type in Mexican Nazi in your search engine and you will find that there are several Nazi groups in Mexico.

I'd turn them in as soon as I had knowledge of the fact that they were not here legally. My son or daughter would have to face the heart break of not knowing a person before they made such a commitment.
I'd do the same if the person was committing anything illegal. When are the pro illegal immigrants going to realize we only want our laws enforced?
If your son or daughter came home with someone you knew to be a car thief how would you respond?

I'm pro immigration and I find this question lame. What if it turned out your son or daughter brought home someone who turned out to be a Nazi? For some people, it's a deal breaker no matter how far into the relationship they are!

When and who your children marry once they are of age is their choice. I would wish them well, but encourage the illegal to return to their home country and request a vista. I would also say that the first time the US citizen is mad at their mate they will threaten to call immigration. What a mess your family is in.

Depends on that person and their character. How has he supported himself in this country, with what identity. Did he steal it or have it forged? Has he treated my daughter well, and been honest with her? Does he love her, or is he just using her for a green card? If he used any deceptions, I would be wary. I don't trust people who deceive to their own ends. But, I would try and help her get him legal he if was a good guy and my daughter loved him.

I would advise them not to marry; marrying someone to get them into the US is asking for divorce.
If the illegal immigrant could get into the US in an appropriate way--THEN marry them. But why risk the question of true intention? Wait until you know for sure.....

I would be against my son or daughter bringing home any criminal. An illegal alien is a crimimal. I would be
against a marriage to a criminal also. So it would be ok in your opinion if if you found out later that your daughter married a bank robber. People are not against illegal immigrants, they are against criminals which is what they are.

I highly doubt my son would choose to hook up with anyone illegal, but my mother did and my Grandparents were very much against it, but in time they got over it. And he DID eventually become legal. It's been almost 30 years now.....he's a part of our family and we love him...but I'm still against illegal immigration.
