I just went to a Orthopedist. I also had pain in my lower back, however, I am much older than you. I have what they call Stenosis - degenerative disc disease. I doubt you have this as it is age related. However you could have a irrated nerve root which requires physical therapy. It is best to go to a
Orthopedist who will do X-rays to be certain what exactly you have. Good luck.

First you should tell a parent so that they can get you to an orthopedic doctor to make sure there is nothing serious.
I was just reading today about a book called Healing Back Pain: the Mind-Body connection by John E Sarno, MD. In the article a lady talks about her dad having bad back pain and he was considering back surgery. He found this book and did as it said and he is now pain free. I'm sure he does have to keep up with the exercises or what ever is advised in the book. You might check your local library and see if you can find the book. Even a half price book store.
hope this helps!
Good Luck to you! You are so young to have to suffer from back pain!
Being tall should not hurt your back. My daughter is 6 foot and has no back pain and she is a volleyball player. Walk tall and be proud and happy you are tall. it is an asset!

You might just need a chiropractic adjustment. Spondylosis has been known to plague gymnasts, but it's usually associated with a more grueling schedule. It's a degenerative disease of the spine, so I wouldn't expect it to come and go like you're describing.

Be sure to see a doctor to find out what's going on if it doesn't clear up soon. You're too young to be looking ahead to a future of chronic back pain.

Spine surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her Spine surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 25 % of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange spine surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as Spine and other orthopedic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
