A regular gallon of gas varies in Houston, Texas; but I have seen prices at $2.98 up to a little over $3.00, but nothing as high as you mentioned.
Now an irregular gallon of gas may be a different story altogether. I prefer the trapezoid shapes the best though.

Hi..I'm from Franklin Square, Long Island, New York..A gal. of gas out here cost an average of $3.26 to $3.30 per gal..Not much different from what you're paying..
Prices get higher every day..It's out of control!
The oil companies are getting richer and richer! Something has to be done!!!Take Care..

In the Philippines it is roughly around US Dollar 3.25 per Gallon for Regular Gasoline.

I paid $3.65 the last time I filled up, but it's down to $3.49 right now. I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I heard that Michigan and California are among the highest in the nation.

Here in oil rich Edmonton Alberta Canada we are paying $1.29 per liter works out to $5.16 a gallon.

Just outside of Washington DC (Virginia side)....it's $2.85 at the Exxon on the corner (regular unleaded). I love my Mac widget that gives me the cheapest gas within 10 miles.
