Love? Love is nothing more than a four-letter word. I don't believe in love, and no I am not one of those people that got hurt by love and now don't believe in it. First you would have to believe in it to get hurt. Like I was saying, I don't believe in love, fate, soul mate, etc. All that is a bunch of bullshit. We (Americans) were fed that **** which is why it is so hard no for people to find the "soul-mate". You say love and I say STRONG infatuation. I would much rather find someone that I am compatible with and have the mentality for marriage, then marry someone because I love him. I thought at one time that I loved someone that was outside of my family, but nope I was wrong. It was just that he was my first everything and I mistook that for love. It was just new and now it is old. Don't get me wrong I do still care about him, but LOVE? that is not possible. I like someone for a few months (at the most) and then I get bored and I am ready to move on. As someone once told me,

" You are not the relationship type." At the time I didn't know what this person meant, but now I do. It is hard if not damn near impossible to be in a long-term relationship without love. Or having both people believe in love. So I have found that I am a season dater. Meaning I can date someone for only one season. Its not to bad being this way. I get to meet new people and find out new things about myself that I had not known originally.

I believe there is a one time love in your life. There are many ways to love someone and its not aways the deep down love you have with the companion in your life. Love is a big word used very comely and the meaning isn't the same as it was years ago. I had a true love and this love went to a better place and I will never forget him or ever say I never loved from the heart. You will know true love when it comes or you may not it all depend on you and the type of heart you have you have to open true to your self and keep a loving feeling in life people need to feel love to give love.

maybe you just haven't met your "soulmate". obviously the person wasn't your true love if you got bored with him. for some people, Love is very real and very beautiful. for others, it is "nothing more than a four letter word". if some people feel and experience love, then i have to say i believe in it. love isn't just the passionate mad kind of thing you always hear about. you talk about the whole compatible thing, that's basically arranged marriages. but people in those kind of marriages learn to love their partners. i definately believe love is real...

Love is simply the connection one person feels for another.
It sounds to me like you've had your heart broken by someone you cared about. It hurts, but time will help you get past this. This wound you carry will make you stronger as a person. It will hurt for a while. Use that pain to motivate you to be the person you wanted to be.
