only the ones who refuse God, have you refuse Him and eternal life with Him? Who are you to say God needs to rethink? He is God and He does what He wants not what you or me or anyone else wants...

I personally can NOT believe in a God who does that, tho it is a doctrine of our current church. That was one thing I liked about the JW's, our former religious connection, (they do not believe in hellfire), tho they do not believe in an afterlife for most members, at least not in the spirit world. Only 144,000 would go there, the rest would be resurrected to physical life, after Armageddon. But I was never really too comfortable with that either. But I could never love, worship or serve any God who would burn and torture any of his disobedient children, even for a short time, let alone a freaking eternity. So what am I doing in the Church of Christ, which does believe that? Danged if I know. I have sometimes told them they got me on the rebound from Jehovah's Witnesses, which makes them really look at me funny, lol.

And God Said To Adam.... Gen 2:17
"The Day You Eat From The Tree you Will Positively FRY"???
WAIT A MINUTE, LET ME CHECK THE SCRIPTURE AGAIN,
Whoops!!
It Doesn't Say FRY, It Says Die!!!

HE Went back to the dust. Gen 3:19

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!
God feels the same way you do about the idea of people burning in fire. Read Jer 7:31 It talks about the apostate Judeans who actually burned their sons and daughters in the fire. And God said it was... "A deed so horrible I've never even thought of it, let alone commanded it to be done" SEE THE LIVING BIBLE

I Hope This helps you think differently about our Creator. :)

lots of the Christian responses to this are superb. How long will those individuals attempt to place the sq. interior the around hollow? whilst will it ultimately happen to them that each and all the horribly twisted good judgment interior the worldwide won't make it in nice condition? that is utter jackassery to declare Christians do no longer persist with the previous testomony. that's the comparable god human beings. Christians do certainly persist with him. Or this drivel approximately how God loves us lots that he slaughtered his son for our sins? think of roughly it. Is that love or sadism? And a style of jokers is claiming God does not like the smell of burning human flesh, merely animal flesh because of the fact it makes him pine for a effective bowl of soup. LOL. yet those human beings are somewhat extra frightening than they are humorous.

Get your heart right with God and you will have nothing to worry about. And by the way it isn't a threat - it's a promise.
It's the price of sin and rejecting his Son!So if you don't want to go to Hell- read your bible and find a good gospel believing church and get under the word.God will change your life .

God did not say He will eternally torment those that have sinned. In Revelation it says that Satan and his followers will be thrown into a lake of fire that burns eternally and all those humans not granted life will follow. Remember, Satan and his followers (fallen angels) have eternal life, they will not die thus their torment will be forever. Humans have yet to receive eternal life, those that do not receive eternal life will be thrown into the lake of fire to experience the "second death".
No, God is not so cruel as to torture humans forever but there are humans that get off causing fear and have developed a knack of getting humans to believe God will cause eternal torment. It is not logical to believe in a God that cruel.

Where does God say that? But don't you think a truly evil person such as Hitler or Stalin should be there? Whose God?

I believe that we create our own Hell. I believe that God is the sum of all good things and our good will rejoin Him after our death. There are very few who are totally evil. Some may believe that they are so bad when really they are not.

Modern society sends us on needless guilt trips.

If we choose to stay apart from God through sin it is our own fault . Hell is simply spending eternity apart from God or anyone else. If we make it to heaven, we will be with God as well as everyone else who made it. We can't earn heaven but we certainly can choose not to go there by our actions.

Jesus loves you, He just doesn't love your actions. Answer me this, if i asked you if you wanted to invite Jesus into your life right now you would probably say no. Guess what that is your choice. People that go to hell are the ones that want nothing to do with God. So don't be blaming Him for your decision. Jesus does love you and the ticket to heaven is free. No real God could even conceive of burning people in hell. If God exists (and I believe that he does), hell can not.

Hell is made up to scare people into behaving in a certain way. Good people need no such threat.
