Use voluming shampoos....they will create body and texture to your hair, in turn gives you more of a curl and or wave. You should look into Paul Mitchell's sculpt and foam with xtra body and good curl rejuvenating sprays. Snapp by fermesi is a good one. Also diffuse your hair dry while scrunching.

My hair is naturally thick and curly/wavy; until I went to college I didn't know what to do with it, so I just wore it up in a bun all the time. My roommate introduced me to mousse which works wonders to hold curl and make it last (mine will last 2 to 3 days). I discovered a book a few months ago called "The Curly Girl Handbook" by Lorraine Massey; she suggests that curly-haired people skip shampoo and go right for the conditioner because curly hair needs more moisture than straight hair. I have developed a routine in which I use baby shampoo and moisturizing conditioner in my hair every 2 to 3 days; after lightly washing and then deeply conditioning, I towel-dry my hair a little bit and then use some mousse (my favorite it Herbal Essences Citrus Lift). After it's done air-drying it looks fantastic! I always get complements on my curly hair. Just remember that if your hair is naturally straight, this won't work for you; it will make your hair greasy. Hope this helps!

The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing, including a Curling Citrus Mango Shampoo and Conditioner which you'll absolutely love! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Kroger, Duane Reade, Safeway, etc. You'll love it!

If you have natural of permed hair use curl life by matrix, it is a really great curling shampoo. If you have straight hair nothing will make it curl.

Shampoo won't make your hair curly if it's naturally straight.
If you find one that does, I want to know what it is!
I'll be first in line to buy a case.
