People who 'disagree' with homosexuality quote the OT all the time; Sodom & Gomorrah, Leviticus, etc., yet when confronted with the other so-called 'abominations' God mentions - stoning unbaptized infants, eating shellfish on Fridays, wearing two blends of fabric, many Christians claim that the O.T. is not the book they reference? Contradiction County, here.

Of course, when something THEY do is shown to be an abomination, many abominators (who quote the Bible to condemn others) will claim that that’s not what the Bible MEANT. (So now the Bible is suddenly open for re-interpretation--and of course, it'll always be in THEIR favor.) Fundamentalists change their entire method of interpreting the Bible when it suits their purpose, even when dealing with verses that are a just couple of sentences away from each other!
Remember, this isn't about faith whatsoever. It's about people who have pre-existing anti-gay prejudice in their hearts. They selectively quote the Christian Bible to attempt to affirm and legitimize that pre-existing prejudice. You don't see the same people condemning those who eat shrimp cocktail, do you? And that's named as an abomination THREE times—in the SAME book of the Bible!

In the Old Testament, what was given emphasis was the prohibition of two men sleeping together as husband and wife. Though it may be considered punishable by death, it has to be undrestood that the prohibition was not only meant at that time between two men but also between man and woman in war. The war was for the Jewish building up a nation and they considered it a Holy War where God is giving them the instruction through HIs Prophets on how to engage in a battle. No man was allowed to go in the battlefield if he has slept with his wife previously for a certain number of days. And since that urges arises randomly in no time, it has to be observed that man must not also satisfy himself and it will more abonimable for two men to do it.
Sodom and Gomorrah on the other hand is not just about homosexuality, it also involved corruptions, criminalities, and all kinds of abuses and greed for power and strength.

I am a christian and I don't throw rocks at anyone Else.
I don't judge anyone. I didn't die on a cross Jesus did and i love him When a man hangs on a cross and dies for me then they can judge me.
The religious pharisees of the day rejected Jesus and stoned Christians. All Jesus preached was truth, kindness and love.
Remember the woman at the well and the people were muttering. And Jesus said woman where are thou accusers?
Jesus told her to go and sin no more............
Remember Jesus wrote something in the dirt and the people laid down their stones , I have often wondered what Jesus wrote............. So don't be painting all Christians with the same brush!!!!!!!!!!!....
. He has given me beauty for ashes.
If i miss him he will find me.
God loves me and he is constantly changing me , taking me from glory to glory.
People in that day and time rejected Jesus. You had to really believe to be a follower of Christ. It wasnt cool or popular ,
In your heart of hearts you know the truth , I am not going to squabble and judge........

There are different reasons different laws were given . So it is true to say Jesus full filled the law of sacrifice, which has much to do with the diet, and clothing restrictions. It's a lot more in depth then just picking and choosing, You have to study it out. Since it is in BOTH testaments, it's safe bet that it's WRONG.
"Study to show THYSELF approved."

My favorite is the part where they ignore the 'treat others as you would want to be treated' part, and take Paul and Leviticus over what Jesus said. Whos the diety there?
And some outright lie and say if they were gay they'd want to be harrassed and discriminated against so that they'd know they were sinners and be turned to Christ... that's a good one.
