Feed it kitten food, fresh water, and provide 2 litter boxes. Get vaccines and dewormings as suggested by your vet. Get it spayed at 6 months old. Brush it frequently and handle it gently. Read everything you can on line and get cat books and magazines. Good luck!

Please, please take the time to read everything you possibly can online, establish a relationship with a vet and take your kitten for an exam, vaccinations and worming right away. It looks like you will be getting your kitten at about 6 weeks old, that really is a little too young, and your baby may need special care. He also needs special high protein kitten formula dry and canned food. Be very, very cautious about buying your kitten food at a grocery, due to the cat food recall as well as these foods are generally poor nutritional quality and won't help you kitten grow to be the best that she can be. have compiled a great series of articles that I could email you if you like. Just let me know. I also have many links (I'm not affiliated with any of them) that can help you.

Will you be adopting this kitten from a person who has its mother? If possible, it's best to leave a kitten with its mother and littermates until it's 10 to 12 weeks old - 6 weeks is too soon to take a kitten from its mother. It needs those extra weeks to learn how to use a litterbox, how to groom itself, and how to play nicely without biting or scratching too hard. Her current owner should get her her first shots at 8 to 10 weeks old (or you should do this, if you have her then), and then you can take her to the vet for a followup exam and instructions when you take her home. She should be spayed at 4 to 5 months of age.

i have a ca calico female, shes wonderful but they do sometimes have stomach problems and crave greens so try to get purina indoor formula, they also like to groom a lot so get some furball medicine. My calico kind a likes to be by herself and cuddle but she has one person she likes to cuddle the most. they are quite shy at times so spend lots of time playing with her.

Well cats are all basically the same. I am getting kittens tomorrow. The only thing with kittens is that they are really hiper and like to play.

it's simple. get it neutered if u get a male, spayed if female. provide water for them. they like milk at first though. mine did but he's 4 now(sometimes he still laps milk out of my cereal). and what we did for ours when he was young is wet his dry food with water. that way it is easier for them to chew that hard food. buy it toys. and make sure you get it shots. very important. get it dewormed also. worms would be gross! get it a litter box. and it will probably be nervous the first day, but that's normal. they just miss mom is all. good luck with your kitty!
