2 years post L5S1 discectomy - DDD in L5S1 and now in L4L5, and bursitus in the left hip. Out of shape, but want get in shape! What kinds of exercises can I do to shed some un-needed weight that won't cause any flare-ups?

The best exercises are water exercises because it doesn't place strain on the joints. There are water exercise classes in many community centers or check with your medical doctor To find one. swimming is the best exercise of them all, nothing can Beat it for working out the entire body.

I am in the same boat!! I walk for exercise. Keep in mind that alot of the medicines that we take for these conditions cause weight gain, and there isn't much we can do about that.
