1. Just go for it and talk to him
2. Become interested in something he is interested in
3. Attend sports/extracurricular activities and watch him.
4. Meet some of his friends, and perhaps you will be introduced.
5. Have a friend tell him you like him. He may like you back.
6. Secret love notes might work.
7. Become friends with him first.

It's just a crush, you'll get over it, I'm sorry, but don't do anything stupid. If you still like him in a year and a half, (at LEAST) then try talking to him. Not now though, it's probably just a crush.
