Besides the rights of being a citizen of your nation, what do you feel you are entitled to?

entitled is a great word. It really implies many things about the question. No one is entitled to jack in this world. We got some rights in this country because some people died. So the Constitution isnt a right its something earned by some people then handed down.

Being as how minorities have more rights then the majority in modern day USA, surely that applies to them as well. Btw, as a Christian I don't have any rights more then anyone else. Your question seems to imply that religious people have more rights, and I don't see how you could imply that. We have made public schools almost totally atheist, which some will deny, but if you totally remove God, then what is left?

Probably many atheists will be claiming "victim" status soon, that is quite trendy in the USA. That is, all white, male, Christians are the oppressors and all others are victims.
Quite humorous that we still call ourselves a democracy. Although we are really a republic where all people are assumed equal, unless, of course, they get the "badge of victim."

I can hear Greoge Washington rolling over in his grave right now.

I find it odd that you automatically include citizenship, I don't consider that an inherent "right" at all, lol.
But anyway: I believe that all humans have the right to life, free expression and equal protection under the law. I feel like these are rights humans can easily grant to one another, rather than needing some greater power to bestow them upon us.

I support a universal human rights charter. Besides what's outlined in the Bill of Rights of the US, I think something we should all carefully consider is the right of personal autonomy.

That's a broad way of saying that you alone control your body. It would be a prohibition of slavery, torture, and capital punishment all-in-one.

I'd like to think I'm entitled to the same rights and respect that any other citizen is entitled to, but after seeing these...I'm not so sure...

Doesn't make much sense to me.

The right to speak my mind, without fear. The right to teach my children to believe what they know to be true, not what the neighbors might like them to believe. The right to participate fully in public life, without having to conceal my beliefs.

Oh, and it would be nice to be able to linger in a coffee shop over a newspaper without any fear of being pointlessly proselytized.

Do believers have special rights or privileges that they are entitled to in our society? If so then can you provide an example. Personally I'm entitled to my own opinion and to be left alone.
