Casio Z75 is a great choice, nice and thin, lightweight, shoots photos and video with sound. Easy to use controls and a 2.5" screen to view.
It's a little pricy for giving it to a kid, but a great camera overall and worth the price.

Try www.besybuy.com, www.samys.com, ww.costco.com
Recommmend a Scandisk memory card.
Check you Sunday paper for ad sales or coupons.

If pink or blue are the improtant factors... then I recommend going to your local WalMart and getting the cheapest pink or blue camera they have. Obviously, picture quality isn't all that important, so why spend the money?

If there isn't a pink one available, then buy a cheap silver body camera and encourage your teen to decorate it with nail polish and beads. Of course, not on the lens or moving parts.

When (or if) pictures become important, then look for a better camera.

a great camera would be either a Sanyo 5 megapixel VPC-S500P camera that comes in pink. it is $84.76 at walmart.com or a Digital Concepts 5.1 megapixel pink camera that is only $59.77 .
