Seattle is the city in the U.S. with the highest percentage of the population with bachelor's and advanced degrees - 52% have bachelor's degree or above, 26% have master's degrees or above.

Seattle is also the city in the U.S. with the lowest church attendance.

Do you think there is a correlation?

they've copied a lot from the U.S., i suppose. just look at america beginning in the 60s up until now. one depravity after another. it's no wonder we're in the shape we are. also, i was told by a friend who was moving to canada that most of the churches in the city they were moving to were anglican and they had not yet found an evangelical church to attend. perhaps that's why. if the Holy Spirit is absent, it's really hard on church growth. not saying that all anglican churches are dead.

I did a thesis in college on the statistical correlation between higher education and atheism. The numbers did show that the more education a person has, the less likely they are to believe in god.

Only if you can prove they are living a more righteous and moral life then the others. Along with a higher quality of life in which the people are happy. I also here Seattle has a high suicide rate, but see that does not mean anything.

Keep in mind that washington state is 25% atheistic, and also has the highest educated city. Interesting correlation there.
