Go down to your local goth/punk clothing store, and see how the girls working there are styled (and ask for any tips!).

You'll need to work on the outfit too in order to properly pull it off - all black has been done to death (hell - the girls who work at M.A.C dress in all-black)

Why dont' you get a haircut you actually like, and if it's emo, goth, preppy or punk, so be it? If you like it that's all that matters.
It doesn't matter what other people think because in the end, you have to live with yourself. Calling you names doesnt' change who you are--don't let them push you to changing your hair by calling you emo!
And don't label yourself either! By calling yourself a goth, you're only limiting yourself.

I would say to be yourself as opposed to just trying to fit some stereotype. But if you really want a suggestion, I would try a website on goth looks and scan the hair styles to see if there's one you like. If you do, then print it off and show whoever styles your hair. But if you can't find one you like, then I wouldn't worry about it.

One way is to keep it long and die it like dark brown or black. And then you should make the edges like kind of uneven. That would look cute or even some people have their hair like balck but they have a certain shade of red in it. ts so cool.

what would look really cool is if you were just like everyone else and all cute looking, but u just happened to wear all black. so get like side bangs (which are very in), cute t-shirts and empress waists shirts, black skinny and boy short jeans and all other stuff that is in style for ur new summer wardrobe, but make everything black. then they will know you are not depressed, u just wear black AND u will look cute and not regret doing it and looking weird! good luck!
