As long as you don't use pesticides in your garden, it should be alright to give them fresh peas. Rinse them well with water first though. With broccoli, you can either feed it cooked or raw, just make sure that you wash it well. If your lovebirds don't accept it at first, keep trying, they can be stubborn at trying new things sometimes. If they still refuse, try putting it in their food bowl with their regular food. Sometimes this fools them into trying it. (Just remember that you have to take it out of the food bowl if they don't eat it in a few hours or it can create bacteria growth.) The maximum time reccomended for leaving fresh foods in a cage is 4 hours. Keep trying different veggies and fruits, and eventually you will find something your lovebirds like.

Veggies for birds are best raw..if you don't use any chemicals in your garden...set a plate for your lovebird.
You can alsao give them peas/corn frozen..pour into a bowl add water to cover and microwave for 3 minutes and let cool, drain and serve ( frozen is better than can, less sodium)
But NEVER give any bird avacados, or the seeds inside apples, alcohol, caffine, or chocolate.
My lovebird likes cooked chicken and turkey, cooked pasta, cooked brown rice, and scrambled eggs.

Just wash them well and make sure there is no insecticides or fertilizers on them. Feed broccoli raw is fine.

You can try it all kinds of ways, it depends on the way your bird likes it cooked or raw, or blanched. Try to find out which way he likes it.

Good Luck!
