Then don't cut through someone's yard. I can understand his reaction because people do that at my house all the time. He probably thought that you were up to no good.

You were in his yard on his property what do you really expect, you may have been scared however who's to say how he felt he may have been robbed yesterday his wife may have been killed yeh ok so im talking worse case scenerio's but who's to say.
If you'd come through my back yard you'd have met 3 cute GSD's (german sheherd dogs) then you'd have been scared for about the 20 seconds you had left.
You should really think carefully about invading someones property, some people can be very touchy about it.

Oh sweetie - I'm sorry you got so scared but it sounds like you BOTH were in the wrong. You should not have been cutting through his yard. That's his private property and by law, you have absolutely no right to be on it. So,he had every right to be mad....but he handled it poorly. No - I DO NOT think he's really going to kick your butt. He was just mad at the moment. As long as you stay out of his yard, I doubt you'll ever have problems with him again. Don't worry.

Put yourself in his shoes. You know you are 13, he doesn't know if someone hurt you, why are you trespassing on his property, you are covered with mud, he doesn't know who you are or where you came from. Suppose something happened to you, like falling and hurting yourself . Maybe he could have handled the situation differently, but we live in strange times , and people are getting more and more defensive and are losing their sense of trust. You were trying to get home, but he had no way of knowing that. Next time, don't take shortcuts, have someone pick you up if it is late, and under no circumstances ever walk alone at night Let this be a lesson for you, and just chalk it up to experience.

If your 13 he's not going to kick your ***. Just don't cut through his yard again. If you ever see him again & he threatens you again than threaten him back. Tell him if he ever threatens you again that your tell your parents or even the cops that he's been threatening to hurt you or has been trying to or has been touching you in a bad way ;) That will freak him out & he shouldn't be a problem anymore. Remember convidence. Don't show ANY fear. If worse comes to worse really tell your parents that he's been treatening you & they'll put a stop to it.

It's ok, there's a lot of people like that. He must have thought you were playing around in his yard. But you should make sure you don't go through someone's property again because it IS a little rude. No offense, it's happened to me before.

You shouldnt have walked through his yard because some people get pretty pissed, but its okay there's nothing you can do, just try not to do it again, cause you can get in trouble with the police for trespassing. Its okay, he shouldnt have yelled though!!!

To be honest with you...You were trespassing & that is illegal, but don't worry about it. If it was some big guy walking through his yard he probably wouldn't have said anything....He's such a "little man", that he had to pick on a 13 yr old girl...Forget about him. If you're really worried about it, Don't walk through his yard anymore.
Even if you did walk through his yard again, he probably wouldn't do anything, but I don't recommend it...Keep your peace & move on. You don't know if he'll go crazy & pull a gun on you...Start riding your bike to speed up the trip home.
BTW: Don't listen to waFFle B...That's a good way to get shot!!!
