Well, somepeople understand the reasons that thaey have to come here. Others, Think That they are invading their property. For my personal opinion they have the right to search for a better life something that they can't have in their own country.
What do you think? What is your opinion?

My relatives came here legally, they learned English and they didn't get any handouts. I personally have no problem with immigration if it's done legally, they speak English as the "language of the land" if you will, and don't get any free handouts. If they do, it only serves to short-change the millions of immigrants who founded and grew this country over the years from their hard work and toil.

I sympathize, however we cannot foot the bill for everyone coming here just because their home country sucks. We would be overburdened with people. It's simple economics. It would break us. And it's not practical or safe for people to come here unchecked. What if they are a serial rapist, a terrorist, or a carrier of a deadly disease? What about the identity theft of millions of Americans? What is our economy going to do with unlimited, unchecked immigration? Stop and think all the ways it is going to affect you and your children. The border regions have been feeling it for some time. Overcrowded schools, poverty, the closing down of hospitals. Recently, MSNBC estimated we spend 6 billion a year on health care for illegals, but we can't make sure our troops fighting and dying in Iraq have the proper equipment to do their job safely?

My parents and myself were illegal immigrants at one point. We came to this country illegally, my parents got themselves a job, learned to speak english, applied for residency, and years later, we are citizens. I believe that everyone has a different reason in which they enter this country, might it be for a better life, or for a new opportunity, and I support this all the way. What bothers me is that most of the immigrants love to be hated, they want to change the rules to benefit themselves. We had to adapt, but that does not in anyway mean that we had to give up our culture and our way of being.

More people should focus on making the USA more open and welcoming, as should illegal immigrants realize that this country has been here for years, and that it's not right to come here and try to change it and make it whatever they want it to be, nor expect any hand-downs that vaguely exist. We all have different dreams and it's time for people to start respecting that, but at the same time it all comes down to adaptation and trying to be a better person, instead of trying to impose our cultures on to others who already know who they are and what they want out of life.

But then again to each its own I always say.

I think, like very human being. they have the right to search for a better life. And that better life happens to be in the USA. Americans see the illegals as a group of criminals that are no good to their country. But not everybody is like that. They come here to work and try to become a citizen of the USA, but some people don't want that, and try to send them back home.

Im all for immigrants if they come to the states to better their lives. If they are here to provide a better future for themselves and their familes. Im not fond of the immigrants that come to the states that fall into the negative stereotypes (for instance:Mexicans) cholos, gangsters, drug dealers,etc....those are the immigrants that should go back to their country.
Oh and Im answering the question in general about all immigrants, thats why i gave the example of Mexicans.

If they become legal citizens... great!! But I dont think its fair for them to take our resources with out paying taxes and so forth to help pay for them. There are so many poverty's here in America... we need to learn how to help the people here before we start giving out aid for free. But I want the best opportunities for everyone.... there is just an appropriate way to go about making sure that everyone is treated fairly.

I enthusiastically support legal immigration to this country, and wish we'd allow more in.

Illegals are another story, of course.

It sounds from your details as if you are talking about illegal immigrants. Those who come legally under limits designed to protect our schools and services are welcome. Those who come illegally are stealing education from our children, healthcare from our sick, and services from our poor. Their people not only don't 'need' them more than ours, they don't have a right to them.

Their children are not more important than our own.
