There is no memory in the CD/DVD drive at all. It can read/write CD/DVD on the capacity of your CD/DVD you put in though. You can't free up memories in regular CD/DVDs, but you can free up memories on CD/DVD rewritable disks.

If the CD or DVD in the drive is full you cannot delete parts of the CD or DVD. Put in an empty one.

u can not free up cd/dvd by this way but if u have a rewritable disk then u can erase it for further use

theres a dvd/cd in the drive thats been written to. unless it's a -rw then you cant.
