I am 18 years old, and it was about 1 week ago that I found out there was a white dot growing on my gums. I believe it is the wisdom tooth. The tooth itself does not hurt, except while eating. Actually, it was not the tooth that hurts, it was the gums... while I am eating, when some food "rub" with my gums where the tooth is growing, it hurts... I know the best solution is to go see a dentist, but I want to know more about my current situation first. Do I must go to see a dentist now? Or I can still wait? Thank you!

If you have any pain at all you should see a dentist. :(

Or, at least call them and get their advice. Most likely they'll want you to come in and check you out.

There is no reason to go to the dentist. It normally hurts when a tooth is breaking through the gums.

What would you expect the dentist to do?
