If you're really in love, then it will last. No need to get married so soon. If you plan to spend the rest of your life together, why not just wait until you're independent and out of school.

My fiance and I started dating when we were 13. We knew in the 8th grade we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, but also knew we would wait until we were grown up to get married. Instead, we just betrothed ourselves to each other for fun.

We're still together and we're getting married in October. We felt we weren't ready before now (even though we knew early that we were the right match for each other) - we wanted to make sure we finished school, had stable jobs, had a home, etc.

There's no harm in waiting. Your relationship, if it's really what you think it is, will just get stronger.

You need to listen to what the other answerers are saying, because at the age of 14 you are way too young to get married. No matter how you may feel about the person you want to marry 14 is not the right time to do so. If you have strong feelings about someone and they feel the same they will still be there in 5 years time when you are 19 or possibly when you are 18, but even then you are still young. Life is meant to be lived and being in a permanent relationship at your age is way to difficult for someone of your years. You probably think you know everything and are quite old enough to do as you please but you are not. I have a 14 year old son and would be horrified if he wanted to get married at a time when he is focussed on school and trying to make a career in the sport he loves.
ALso I dont know where you live but would doubt that anyone would legally marry you at the age of 14.

Why would you post that and expect to get a good answer. You are 14. You aren't even legal yet. Worry about finishing HS, would you really want to be the only 14 year old married?

I dont think you can, besides at 14 you havent even lived your life, im 20 and I'm too young to be married.

Besides when your 14 you think your boyfriend is the one and only, but you are both still kids, dont go causing yourself trouble by making things set in stone.

If your relationship is good it wouldn't matter if you waited about 10 years to get married. You are a bit young to be having sex anyway.

So these are the things kids think about these days - I better watch out I have a son that's 12... I couldn't imagine, he's not even in any relationship (his mind his on the books) "thank god"... Isn't that what kids should do at that age?

I don't know of a place and I'm not going to tell you that your to young - I'm just happy your not my kid. I feel sorry for your parents, or should I feel sorry for you. I'm not sure if you didn't/don't receive a lot of attention and looking for love in all the wrong places or if your just OUT OF CONTROL....

What ever the case maybe, I wish you the best of luck with your future.
I hope you make it through grade school
finish high school & then college.

Always remeber " If you dont stand for noithing, you will fall for anything"...

Nowhere. Not in the USA, not in Canada, not in Mexico, not in the UK, not in Ireland.

However, in the USA, very certain FEW states allow for a 14 to get married with parental consent and a judges order.

In the State of Denial.

Seriously, honey...14 is way too young. What are you going to do? Move in together, and ride the same school bus?? Finish school (college too). If your relationship lasts through your education, then you know it is meant to be, and the two of you will have had time to mature together. Then you can get married, and be at a point in your lives where you can support each other.

darling. i agree with what everybody is posting. at 14 years old you are not mentally prepared to get married. if kids were prepared to get married at 14 there would be no laws against it. if he really loves you he will wait four years until you are 18. if you want to get married at 14, you're parents can sign for it. but if your parents do not agree with you getting married so young than they wont sign for it.
marriage is a life term commitment, not something to take too lightly.

I don't know about 14 but I know in some states the legal age is 15.

As far as I know anyone the age of 15 or younger has to have a court order to be able to get married.
