Smallpox is the result of original sin. Blame mankind, not God. All those babies are now healed and living in paradise. They could be rotting in the grave but thanks to God they are not.

Mankind inherited sin and death from Adam and Eve. Jesus is our Ransomer and Redeemer from that sin. The Bible shows that we are living in the time of the end and the last days of this system of things. Soon the Christ will take his kingdom power and begin ruling the earth as our King from the heavens. First he will rid the earth of all worldly governments and all false and god-dishonoring religions. Satan and his demons will be done away with. Then all those who have died and are in the grave will be resurrected to a paradise earth. In the paradise there will be peace earthwide, no one will say "I am sick." There will be plenty of food and satisfying work for all. This includes all the 300 million people who died from the smallpox disease you mentioned.

Dear,
God is here, god is there, god is everywhere... god is controlling all events & also accidents, but he's doing so to test us whether we believe in & trust him or not... which mean that you always believe that any bad thing happen for a reason that's good for you.. for example if you were going to some place & then you were hit by a car but you didn't die.. may be if you continued, something worst could happen..or to prevent you from a sin
In the case of smallpox, it's a test for parents..you know? that if parents were patient about the death of their son & didn't say WHY OUR SON, GOD.. then during the dooming day, their son'll lead them to paradise for being patient... (sure hell go with them)they'll live with him forever rather than during his 1st life only)

Here's how Jesus answered the question about why God allows evil.
Matthew 13:24-43
24 Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. 27 "The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?' 28 "'An enemy did this,' he replied. "The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?' 29 "'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.

you will get 2 styles of incorrect solutions. a million) that God does this reflexively to an no longer worth creature, and a pair of) That God has predestined us and does not in actuality care. the two are incorrect and have been continuously rejected till cutting-edge cases, good previous hateful bloody cutting-edge cases. we are enjoyed and hence we are in existence in any respect 24 For you like a number of issues that are and detest no longer something which you have made; for what you hated, you does no longer have formed. 25 and how would desire to a ingredient stay, except you willed it; or be preserved, had it no longer been called forth via you?

Your opinion. The existance of evil proves that people have the right to ignore God and choose evil and he won't strike them down, but will give them another chance to be good..
The bad that happens in the world is our fault, yes OUR FAULT. If we would pay attention to God as a whole then most of the bad wouldn't happen..

Okay look... God loves each and every one of us! You're being a little hypocritical, here. If you're going to say God is existent, then you need to believe in his book! The reason that millions or even billions of people die, is because of all of the sin in this world. Satan's jealous rule has caused the world to be a hectic, sinful place, and without God's benevolence, kindness, and love, billions more would die that painful death!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Premise 3 is faulty, but close:
3. He doesn't want to stop evil YET; in the meantime it is in His best interest and ours to allow things to continue as they are since He is using the circumstances to work out His perfect purposes. This should not be construed to mean that He does not care; rather we don't understand, but our limited vision and understanding do not impugn God.

No he cares allot and that is why he gave US (humanity) the ability to make OUR own choices, what a blessing indeed. I like picking out what kinda truck I drive, what type of JOB I have, what color or drawls I wear, where I go on vacation, if I want to serve the Lord, if I don't.... People abuse their freedom to choose and THEY hurt people. If God stepped in, we would no longer be free agents, and it goes back to Adam, and the choice to sin, bringing the "bad things" illness, pain etc into our existance. You need to redirect your anger or question BACK to people, not God.

I think that he cares, know, and has the ability, but lets man work his own problems out. A life doesn't mean as much to him as mankind's life. And sometimes the only way to save mankind is to lose some lives. My theory of God is that he watches, but does not intervene.

If you are measuring life as that span of time humans spend on planet earth, and that there is nothing else, you might say that what we have come to know as death - cease breathing, assume room temperature - is indeed a bad thing. If you accept that our time on this planet is miniscule compared to the time we will spend in eternity, death is not a bad thing at all.
