1] cut off split ends,or they will go up the hair shaft
2] use shampoo and conditioner for dry or frizzy hair
3] deep condition it about twice a week until it is in better shape
4] avoid dryers, straighteners, curlers if at all possible - braid it or wear a hat
5] if you must straighten, get a thermal protection serum - John Freida Frizz-Ease is a great one.
6] try washing only 1/2 as frequently - if you wash every day, try every other, etc.

Get high moisture conditioner and sleep in it over night. In the morning rinse it out. Use biosilk on your ends before and after straightening. That will also help with the moisture. But unfortunately there is no way to stop hair from splitting other than to cut it! But I go through the same thing! Trim your hair every 6-8 weeks too.

First off when you straighten it USE A HEAT PROTECTENT! This could be why your hair is crazy. Instead of using a heat straightener try a serum. Cut ALL of the split ends off at the saon. It might be short but you need to do it. Go to a nice salon. Dont get layers. Get your hair thinned with thinning sheers.

you need to get the ends trimmed every 6 weeks. If you do it regularly you won't look like you've had a bunch of hair cut off. Use a conditioning mask on your hair a couple times a week just on the ends, put a plastic cap on or wrap it up in a towel and let your body heat help process the conditioner. You sound like my daughter, she goes thru the same thing....but does she listen to her mom the hairdresser? NNNOOOOOO

The best thing to do is get a trim nothing can
"repair" split ends but you can prevent them
with some hot oil treatments, and V05 conditioning cream and you can leave it in overnight and wash it out in the morning and just
use a little pea size i had to learn the hard way..hope this works! good luck.

If I notice that I have split ends, it always helps just to trim your hair.
Also, when your hair is wet, do NOT brush it with a normal brush! Use a nice comb that won't pull your hair. And you can usually buy shampoo that helps reduce breakage and splitting.

You can't fix split ends, but you can hide them. To do this, be sure to moistruize your hair, cut the ends frequently, and apply a serum to the ends every single day.

I agree with Amber. You can only prevent split ends, but once they're there, you have to cut them.
