To reduce swelling, you always use cold. I have never had a mosquito bite swell. Are you sure it IS a mosquito bite?

Use cold . It will draw any of the poison that might be in a mosquito bite. Also if you get bitten by a spider or any other insect do that and then if doesn't help try hot but try the cold first

I use neither. If you have something called germaline, it will reduce the swelling and extract the sting straight away.

Ice might take the itch away, but you could also rub it with a bit of skin lotion to reduce the itch. DO NOT SCRATCH IT!
