if you are religous then yes that does apply.
And why should the goverment be involved in my marriage none the less my fertility.
There are those who don't want children, so why should we be forced to have children we dont want?
and marriage is more then just for the purpose of having children and populating the world and the church, it's for companionship, love, and a deep respect for another.

The truth is God defined Marriage with the first of his creation and it was not simply for procreation. Eve was taken from Adam and the two became one flesh. Marriage joins a man to a woman the two then become one flesh anything else is a corruption or sin. your argument is with the creator but his purpose was not mere procreation.

Yeah the anti-gay marriage crowd kind of gets tripped up when they apply the same standards to straight people.
Fireball, people used to define marriage as of the same race and religion also. Tradition does not dictate morality, if we did that then slavery would be alright since almost every culture has had it to some degree or another.
