Can someone figure this information out through skiptracing or a program they can order online? I have strong beliefs that some one has been snooping thru my personal information using some type of internet program or skiptracing. I'm just trying to figure out how. I don't think that the person will do anything illegal but they are just being nosey and I am just curious as to how this person has found out this information. I am positive that they have not seen any of my bank statements.

I didn't give my SSN out. His job allows him to get anyones SSN. But his job doesn't allow him to get the bank account info.

I would suggest calling your bank and telling them to put an alert on your account... they can put like three different types of alerts on it. It will be hard for anyone including yourself to do anything to your account... with out ID... but it's worth it for the piece of mind and possible fraud that could RUIN your credit and your life... whether you trust this person not to take from you or not they could be testing the system to see who will notice and it could be a matter of time before they make their move! Act now.

If someone has your SSN, then it depends on which bank you put your money in.

Some banks give the caller anything they want to know once the caller provides them with a SS#. But a bank like Bank of America asks a lot more questions than SS#, so even a caller calls Bank of America and give it your SS#, this caller won't be able to know how much money you have in the bank.

Bank of America would ask more questions like the last time you deposit money in your checking account, how much wat it, etc.

Some banks also allow you to place a personal password. So beside a SS#, every time you or someone else calls, you or someone else has to also provide a password before they would release any information.

As for your computer safety question. I strongly advise you to install a firewall in your computer, even if it would break your piggy bank! There are so many spyware and other nasty stuffs in the internet these days, a firewall is a must.

And I advise you to use Norton. It might not be without faults, but compared to other anti-virus company, it's much better. I know, because I used both of them.

I doubt anyone could access your bank account information with only a SS number. Banks are very concerned about identity theft and guard against unauthorized access to accounts.

Now if this person has your bank account number plus other personal information, it may be possible. Contact your bank and discuss any concerns you have.

Yes, and also they can take your money, they have lots way to see how much do you have in your account exemple: 1-VOD=verification of deposit, in this way they send to your bank this docmument, w/your SSn and receive sign w/your available deposit . 2- They can pretend be you w/you SSn and get that ,depend of the bank. so do not give you SSn other time they ask you, only if you have a deal on the table.

Banks have very strict customer privacy laws in place, but in case there is a slip...
you might want to do the Following"
1. Identity Fraud alert on All bank accounts
2. Fraud Alert on any credit cards you own
3. Alert the Credit reporting agencies(Experian, Trans-union, Equifax)

**make sure you review your accounts daily and report any unusual activity right away.

Guard your Social Security Number. It would be difficult to access your information with that alone, but that is a good start.

It is highly unlikely that anyone can view your bank account balances online, UNLESS you have accessed these accounts at a computer which is triggered to automatically remember sign-ons and passwords.

Have you done anything similar to this ?
