1. Gas is caused by swallowed air while you eat. Try eating slowly and without talking to see if that reduces your burping.
2. The burning can be as others here have said, acid reflux from your stomach acid splashing up into your esophagus. There are over the counter medications to help. If they don't help then see an MD because you don't want scarring in your esophagus.
3. Eating thoughtfully and slowly, chewing well can help gas, acid reflux, digestion and ultimately weight loss.
Good luck!

Heartburn or indigestion seem likely (esp. if you have had a carbonated soda). For quick relief, try a Tums or other chewable antacid. If that doesn't help, you might have something more serious, (acid reflux, stress-induced heart problem, etc).. If the antacid won't do it, try a change in diet. Try drinking water instead of soda, and more vegetables instead of starches/greasy foods. If diet doesn't work, consult a health care professional. Good Luck.

GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disorder) or a hiatal hernia. Go to a doctor. They have a lot of meds that can correct that now, plus repair any damage the acid has done to your esophagus.
