All of the people you just mentioned are Christians. The denomination that you decide to attend doesn't mean you aren't still a Christian. It simply denotes what church you want to attend. If you do not want to associate with a denomination, then you have two choices. You attend a church that is non-denominational. The other choice is that you decide to not attend a church at all. I wouldn't recommend the second of the choices because it is hard to grow as a Christian without having a church home to learn in, to pray in, to have fellowship in, and so on. Having a church is important and that is in scripture. (Hebrews 11:25). If you do not want to be in a particular church, I am sure there are many churches that are non-denominational. I would try to seek those out.

The disciples in the first century church were known as Christians only. That is the only name they "wore". The church that Christ established in 33 AD is still in existence today. It bears His name, the church of Christ.

"Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you." Romans 16:16

All the denominations that you mentioned had their start from men and man-made changes to the first century church. A denomination is a part of the whole, a departure from the one true church.

We are not affiliated with any denomination but, instead, seek only to be Christians.

Each congregation of the church of Christ is governed by its own elders, in harmony with the New Testament. We have no central headquarters or president. The head of the church is none other than Jesus Christ himself (Ephesians 1:22-23).

It is the Word of God that unites us into One Faith (Ephesians 4:3-6). We follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and his holy Apostles, and not the teachings of man. We are Christians only!

I think if you're a Christian you are a part of that secret society. You join an organized church, you are affiliating with a certain amount of tradition, even if it's considered non-denominational. It's easiest to find a church that observes the faith closest to how you understand Scripture, but realize that they don't have a lock on the truth.

Where human understanding is involved, we will always lack the purity that is what you describe.

very very nearly each protestant denomination got here out approximately via a team of people in an already latest church getting mad approximately some thing. they do no longer believe this or that distinctive ingredient being taught a undeniable way. So, they take their little team and commence their very own church. Methodists are certainly an unusual problem. while the Catholics and Anglicans have been struggling with each and all of the time in colonial Virginia a team that became led via the Wesley brothers had adequate of it. They took their team and started the Methodist Church. They have been kinda of the "why can't we be acquaintances" church via mixing the two. The Methodist church has deteriorated severely considering the fact that then via conforming to the politically maximum appropriate crowd and doubtless no longer status for something anymore yet they have good intentions. Baptist on my own does not somewhat define a denomination anymore, you ought to extra specific. there is primitive baptist, standard baptist, freewill baptist, southern baptist, reformed baptist, community baptist, and so on. the essential issues between them commonly is a concept in sola scriptura, as quickly as saved continuously saved, and ingesting alcohol is a sin. (which via the way isn't interior the Bible) enable me lower back up slightly, the large schism got here approximately interior the early one thousand's while the eastern and Western Rites of the Catholic Church chop up. we are nonetheless acquaintances yet have some minor disagreements. we are unfastened to take communion in one yet another's church homes and would the two rather hint our history to being based via Jesus Christ himself. Then Martin Luther got here alongside and he became excommunicated via the Catholic Church for his heresies. Then Henry the 8th needed a divorce while there have been no grounds for it, so he created his very own church, the Church of england. (Anglicans, Episcopalians) Then the Anabaptists better through no longer-so-niceness of the Anglicans. Out of the Anabaptists got here the Amish, Quakers, and Baptists.

Well, there are many Churches that consider themselves non-denominational. Many of them have a name followed by "Christian Fellowship". Like here we have Impact Christain Fellowship, or Church of the Hills, instead of saying First Baptist Church or Notre Dame Catholic Church. I will again state that I believe "Church of Christ" is Pentecostal

Once you believe in Jesus you ARE a christian. If you later choose to congregate with other christians you can join a church, which is what most people do, but joining a church doesn't provide for your salvation. By believing, you become a christian. There's nothing to join.

non -denominational. I belong to a non-denom Christian Church. We're not part of any "group" & we follow Biblical teachings. We have no attendance records & people don't join. If you want to attend, you attend. We're more like a family, actually (not like Westboro Baptist).
