The books are their because different people wrote them and then later complied at the council of nicia( I think i spelled that wrong). The sects? Those are their because people interpurt the bibel differently.

1- if you're going to post a question about Christianity and you don't wanna be offensive, callim Him Christ and not pbuh. just for future reference
2- this was even predicted in the Bible, in the parable of the mustard seed. basically, people allowed/brought in ideologies into Christianity, not adhering to the Bible or the Holy Spirit (geez, it's God's word, let Him tell you!), and people claimed it to be God's word, even with their additives
3- there is one Book: the Bible. there's the Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox Bibles. The majority read the Protestant though. that's the most common type. I personally believe the Protestant Bible is the most accurate (in terms of what books were kept in or not, as the Catholic has additions in the OT) as that's what I feel the Holy Spirit has led me to believe.
and in the early years of Christianity, the Old Testament was all that there was. God inspired to write the New Testament. the New Testament was finished circa 95 A.D. (anno domini, years after Christ's birth)
hope that helped

This is something that is in every major religion of the world. Whether the different caste systems in Hinduism or the different sects of Islam. But remember, and I speak as a Christian, we can have unity without uniformity. Whether we disagree on how to worship the Lord or what bible version to use or whatever, we are (or rather should be) unified in our faith in Jesus Christ as the sinless Son of God who is the savior of the world.

No, they weren't. There were a handful of Great Schisms. The first was between Catholic and Eastern Orthodox over whether Latin or Greek should be the official language. The Church of England split because the King of England wanted a divorce. And then Martin Luther and Calvin did some more schisming.

Because there are no real gods around to set them right. And, yes, there were many religions back in the time of Jesus. There were other "prophets" about whom the same type of claims were made. The Christian cult just got a political leg up in the 300's and become more powerful than the others.

So many differences because of the human element. Everybody wants to be a big shot. Before, during and after Jesus time on Earth various people have believed in various gods in various ways
It is up to each and everyone one of us to choose a spiritual path to walk. I believe only one is right.
God Bless.

At the times of Jesus they were called(sorry can't remember I think it started with a g).
There's so many different religions in Christianity because everyone interprets the Bible differently and way back they all got sick of the greedy Catholic church and priests.
